Eve

I nervously eyed Chresanto from across the table. I still couldn't get over the fact that I had spent the whole night with him, and now I'm spending breakfast with him too. I had waited months for this opportunity and now he was literally a few feet away, and I couldn't help but stare.

"What are looking at?" Chresanto said, snapping me out of my daze. When I didn't reply fast enough, he just shook his head. "You're weird you know that?"

I wanted to say something else, but he was already back to shoving more food into his mouth. He's just so.... "Are you going to get that?" He asked, and I realized my phone was ringing.

Of course, it was Jamie. "I have to go," I told him, even though this was probably the last time I would see him. "Jamie is probably looking for me."

He frowned. "Oh."

"Well don't sound so disappointed."

He shook his head. "I just never pegged you for the type."

"The type?"

He sighed, returning to his food. "Nevermind."

Unsure of what he meant I offered him a sympathetic smile, before getting up to leave and take my call. "Hel--" I began, but I was cut off.

"Hey bitch," She sang, and I could hear her smirking through the phone. I rolled my eyes. She had the worst timing. "Where are you?"

"Just leaving breakfast." I smiled because for the first time I actually had the upper hand on her.

I waited for a reply as I climbed the stairs to our apartment, but there was only silence on the other end. "With whom?" She asked. Did I sense a little edge in her tone?

"Chresanto."

"See I told you she liked him," Christina butted in catching me completely off guard. I didn't even know she was on the line.

Jamie wasn't having it though. "Shut up Christina," she snapped, silencing Christina altogether.

"Whatever," I sighed, finally making it to the door. I reached for my keys when I realized I had left them inside. "Can you just open the door?"

"What?" Jamie scoffed, and I could picture her smiling now. I would never hear the end of this. "You forgot your keys?"

"Just open the door."

I heard the phone click off, then Jamie appeared at the door. She leaned against the doorway blocking my entrance. "What's the password?" She joked, but I just rolled my eyes pushing past her.

I could feel her eyes burning holes in the back of my head. "Sooo...how's Chresanto?" I watched as she pulled herself onto the counter, her long caramel legs dangling over the side.

I eyed her closely. Her curly hair was now spilling out of her messy bun onto her shirt, that looked oddly familiar. I could have sworn I saw Jacob wearing that shirt last night at the party.

I reached forward, taking the fabric in my hands. "Isn't this--" She smacked my hand away, hopping off the counter.

"Look," she said, pushing her finger into my chest. "Don't try and turn this on me."

I pushed her away. God, sometimes I wanted to smack that girl. "It's not like we had sex or anything," I yelled, throwing my arms up in frustration.

She raised her eyebrows. "Had sex? I didn't say anything about you fucking. You brought that up."

"God Jamie." I couldn't take her anymore. I had to leave. I turned to walk away, but she grabbed my arm stopping me.

"Look," she sighed, her eyes softening a bit. "I'm just looking out for you."

I laughed. She was so full of shit. "And how is that?"

A serious expression crossed her face. "He wants something from you...Guys don't just buy you breakfast..."

"Yeah whatever," I scoffed. I shook her off, heading to my room.

"I'm just looking out for you," she called after me, but I ignored her. What did she know? She uses guys constantly, and she has the nerve to give me advice. Please...
