~Chapter 34~ Sky full of stars

Danny's pov:

While Rose was bringing Iris back home I decided to make a little surprise for her to take her mind of things. I didn't had much time so after a few minutes of thinking I decided on making a romantic picnic in the garden under the stars. I took the outdoor stove and put it in the garden that we wouldn't get cold, cause it was still winter. Then I quickly went to the supermarket to get things to eat and champagne. I had all kind of things from cupcakes to salads.

When I came back home I took a blanket and put it down on the grass, then I took a lot of candles and put them in a heart shape around the blanket for the romantic atmosphere. When all the candles were set I had a few minutes left to prepare the food and set it on the blanket so I quickly did that and went inside to sit on the couch pretending I sat here the whole time. I closed the curtains that she couldn't see the candles from the living room and that she'd see it when I took her to the garden. Just when I sat down on the couch I heard the front door open and close and heard Rose shout,

"I'm back!"

I stood up and walked to the hall where she was taking her coat of and kissed her on her cheek and asked,

"How was it?"

"She thought that it was okay." She replied.

"That's great than, isn't it?" I said walking to the living room with her.

"I think so." She said sitting on the couch. I couldn't take it anymore so I decided to show her the surprise. And, it was already 6PM so it wasn't like we were really early with dinner.

"Babe?" I said sitting down next to her.

"Yeah?" She replied looking at me.

"While you were away I made something." I said taking her hand and standing up.

"And what's that?" She asked looking confused. 

"I'll show you." I said taking her to the door that lead to the garden. I stopped in front of the door and put my hands over her eyes.

"What are you doing?" She asked laughing.

"It's for the surprise effect." I said smiling. I opened the door and walked with Rose to the blanket with my hands still covering her eyes. When we were standing in front of the picnic I said,

"Okay, here we are." And I took my hands from her eyes. She opened her eyes and gasped when she saw the picnic.

"This is so romantic!" She said turning around to me and gave me a passionate kiss.

"Everything for my girl." I said winking at her when we broke apart. We sat down on the blanket and started eating the food that we had. After a few minutes Skyler came running from out the house and lied down next to us on the blanket.

"I think someone was feeling left out." Rose said laughing. I laughed with her and opened the bottle of champagne and poured us both a glass. When we had eaten most of the food we lied down on the blanket, Rose with her head on my chest, and we looked up to the stars. I stroked her back with my hand while I had my arm wrapped around her while she was drawing random patterns on my chest with her finger.

"This is perfect." She said after a few minutes of comfortable silence.

"You are perfect." I said kissing the top of her head.

"Cheeky." She said laughing. I laughed at her and said,

"But I'm serious though. You're perfect."

"Nobody's perfect." She said drawing a heart on my chest.

"But you're not just somebody. You're Rose O'Connor, my girlfriend, the most beautiful, funny, kind and caring girl that exist." I said drawing a heart on her back with my finger.

"And you're cute." She said kissing my chest. We lied in silence again until I started singing 'a sky full of stars' by coldplay.

When I finished she sat up a little bit and looked me in the eyes and said,

"I love you so much."

"I love you too." I said smiling and took her in for a passionate kiss.

"I never want to leave this blanket." She said sighing. I felt another song coming up so I sang a part of 'never gonna leave this bed' by Maroon 5.

"I love maroon 5." She said smiling when I finished that part.

"Yeah, they're pretty good. But as much as you love the script?" I said winking at her.

"Hmm should I go for the sexy Adam Levine or the mega-sexy Danny O'Donoghue? Decisions..." She said trying to sound serious.

"Do you think that Adam could do this?" I asked and kissed her again, taking her down on top of me.

"I have no idea, never tried." She said laughing when we pulled away. She looked me in my eyes for a while until she said,

"You're really cute."

"Why?" I asked laughing at her random comment.

"You just are. The way you do things, the way you're looking, just the way you are."

"Ah another song!" I said laughing while she put her head on my chest again.

"That song is so sweet. Just like 'never seen anything quite like you.'" She said.

"I've never seen anything quite like you." I said kissing her head.

"In a good way?" She asked smiling.

"Of course, muppet." I said slapping her bum lightly.
