Everyone's running from something but we don't know when it's coming...

~Chapter 49~ Anniversary

Rose's pov:

I woke up with Dan still sleeping next to me. I felt a huge smile spread across my face when I realized that it was our one year anniversary today. I turned around to watch Danny sleeping. He's so cute and peaceful when he's sleeping, his chest slowly rising up and down from his breathing and totally relaxed. I lay there for a little longer until I decided to get up and make him breakfast in bed. I slowly got out of bed trying not to wake him. I walked downstairs and through the living room into the kitchen. When I walked through Skyler came walking at me, I kneeled down and stroked her for a while until I got up and started to make our breakfast.

When breakfast was finished I poured the boiling water into our mugs with a teabag and put everything on a tray to carry upstairs. I walked into our bedroom and saw that Danny was awake by now, laying on his back and staring at the ceiling. When he heard me walk in he lifted his head enough so see me.

"Morning sleepy!" I said happily and put the tray next to the bed before I got in next to him.

"Good morning gorgeous." He said taking me in his arms immediately.

"We're exactly one year together now." I said giggling and turned around in his arms so I was facing him.

"Yeah, time flies ey." He said smiling and pissed the tip of my nose.

"I made us breakfast." I said trying to get out of his grip.

"Can I have you as breakfast?" He asked smirking and took me on top of him before I could even respond or get out of his arms.

"That's the worst line I've ever heard!" I said laughing.

"Yeah, I know. But I don't care." He replied before kissing me full on my lips. I immediately started kissing him back and soon enough he was licking my bottom lip asking for entrance. I decided to leave the teasing for now and opened my mouth a little bit. He immediately started exploring my mouth with his tongue while my hands tangled theirselves in his hair, tugging at the ends causing him to moan.

"You like that?" I asked in the kiss. He didn't reply but just turned us around so he was on top of me now without breaking the kiss. After our make-out session we sat ourselves up in bed and I picked the tray up from the ground.

"Well that was a nice way to wake up. Could get used to that." He said winking. I rolled my eyes at him and handed him his breakfast.

"Thanks babe." He replied taking it from me. When we almost finished our breakfast I asked,

"What are we gonna do today?"

"I'm taking you to the spa cause I know how much you love getting spoiled. But before that we're getting coffee in that cosy cafe where we were drinking coffee together exactly one year ago." He replied before sipping his tea.

"Sounds amazing." I said cuddling into his side.

"Does it?" He asked wrapping his arm around my shoulder.

"Yeah." I replied sipping my own tea.

"I've got a little present for you." I said when I finished my tea.

"You didn't have to do that." He replied letting me get out of his arms to get his present.

"But I did. It's not the best present cause I didn't know what to get you." I said giving it to him.

"I already have everything cause I have you." He said winking.

"Cheesy." I said laughing and sat down next to him again. I watched him wrapping the paper of his present, I got him a Calvin Klein perfume which smelled, in my opinion, very sexy...

"Thanks love." He said kissing me when he saw what I got him.

"Like it?" I asked worried.

"Yeah of course!" He said smiling.

"Great. I thought I get a sexy smelling perfume for a sexy looking man." I said winking at him. He laughed at me and then we got out of bed to prepare for today.

When we were both dressed we went to the cafe where we were one year ago like Dan said he'd take me. When we arrived there the first thing that I noticed was that there was no music playing, cause I came here more often and always listened to the music while being here. (If I wasn't in a conversation with someone...) I decided to put it aside and sat down at a small table while Danny went to order us a drink. When he came back he handed me my drink and sat down opposite me. I couldn't help it but feel like something was bothering him.

"What's wrong?" I asked worried.

"Nothing. Just thinking." He replied smiling. I decided to drop it, cause I knew that he'd tell me later if something was going on. Suddenly the music started playing again, it was a bit louder than it normally was so it made me jump a little bit. Within seconds I recognized the song, it was 'marry you' by Bruno Mars. Suddenly Dan stood up and took me with him. We stood next to our table and the lady behind the counter gave him a wink. It was an older lady so I didn't think anything about it, I was just confused. Then he started speaking,

"Rose, I never thought that I'd meet someone as amazing as you, let alone that you wanted to be my girlfriend. You're the best part of me and without you I'm nothing. I love you with all my heart and want to spend the rest of my life with you, I want you to be the mother of my children and I want to grow old with you." 

Suddenly he got down on one knee, got a small box out of his pocket and asked,

"Rose O'Connor, will you marry me?"

Before I could respond I heard a group of girls in the cafe singing "Just say I doooooooo" Along with the music making me laugh.

"Yes of course!" I replied looking back at him. He got the ring out of the box and put it around my finger. When he did that he gave me a passionate kiss. When we were kissing the whole cafe was cheering. I felt myself blush, but I ignored it. When we broke apart I asked,

"Was this why you were acting to weird a few minutes ago?"

"Yeah, I was nervous." He admitted.

"That's adorable." I said smiling. We sat back down to finish our coffee but I couldn't get the smile of my face. Then I realized that he had planned this, that was the reason that there was no music playing when we walked in and the wink from the lady on the counter.

When we finished our coffee we went to the spa but I couldn't stop looking at the ring around my finger, it was the most gorgeous ring I've ever seen! When we arrived at the spa we started our day of relaxing.

I was laying on my front getting a massage on my back making me so relaxed. Suddenly I felt another pair of hands on my back. I looked up and saw Dan massaging my back with the girl giving him instructions.

"Let me guess, you couldn't help it?" I said smiling.

"Nope." He said smirking and continued to massage me. I couldn't help the moan that escaped from my mouth every now and then, I mean, I was having a massage which was like heaven and the man who gave it was god! Life couldn't get any better right now.
