Day 12

Nanakit ako ng slight. Basta, kampante parin tayo sa MaiChard. Here's the update!

Day 12

I slept over at Ate Niki's because I can't resist Matti. We're both exhausted when we got on their house so he insisted that I should stay for the night. Isa pa, nilagnat din ako sa di malamang dahilan. Ate Niki agreed with him so I ended up staying. I checked at the clock on the bedside table and it was already 9:00am. I fixed the bed and went to the bathroom to do my morning rituals.

"Good morning, Tita Ninang!" I was walking downstairs when Matti greeted me while he was eating breakfast. Kuya John was feeding Keisha, Matti's little sister and I swear the kid is a ball of cuteness just like her brother. I walked to her and kissed her cheeks before I sat beside Matti.

"Tita how's your sleep?"

"Good. I slept well. How 'bout you?"

"I did too. I had a nice dream!"

Ate Niki placed the plate of fruits and kissed me before she sat beside Kuya John.

"Ang ganda ng gising ng batang 'yan. Nung tinanong ko kung bakit, sabi nya maganda daw panaginip niya. Pinakekwento ko sabi naman mamaya na daw pag gising ka na."

"Tsaka Meng nilalagnat ka pa ha. Andun yung gamot sa may cabinet sa tabi ng ref. Uminom ka." She added.

I nodded at her before looking at Matti whose cheeks were floated because of his food. Hinintay kong malunok nya yung kinakain nya bago magtanong ulit.

"What did you dreamt of, Matti?"

Matti took a gulp of his milk before he answered. "I dreamt of you and Tito Ninong! We went to the carnival again and we were so happy. He bought me a balloon while he got you your favorite cotton candy. You two were so sweet. Have you texted him that we got home safe, Tita Ninang?"

My eyes widened because of Matti's story. I can already feel Ate Niki's stare on me and it took me seconds before I answered.

"I texted him last night. He want to tell you goodnight but you were already sleeping so I didn't wake you up."

I was about to sleep when my phone rang. It was an unregistered number. I lazily answered it and put the phone on my ear. "Hello?"

"Maine."

"Alden?" There was a silence on the other line. I remembered when he called me last time but I didn't saved his number that's why the number's unregistered.

"I called to check Matti. Are you home?"

"Yeah. Nasa kanila ako. Nakauwi naman kami ng maayos. Salamat." There was an awkward silence before I spoke again. "Uhm, how's Kim?"

"She's alright. She got into a car accident but thank God she only has minor injuries. We're staying here for the night kasi may mga ichecheck pa."

"Oh my God. Buti naman okay na sya. And sorry kasi kung di ka sana sumama samin ikaw sana yung kasama niya at walang nangyaring masama."

"It's okay. I missed Matti too, and ako naman yung may gusto na sumama sa inyo. Ako pa nga dapat magsorry kasi naabala ko yung bonding time nyo."

"Hindi. Okay lang naman. Masaya naman si Matti eh.."

"Ikaw? Masaya ka ba?" I can't answer. Masaya ba ko? Oo. Sobra. Kung sabihin ko bang oo, ano naman sa'yo?
