Day 24

Hi!!!

This update was unexpected kasi ewan ko kakatweet ko lang kanina na sa Tuesday ang next update tapos this happened. Hahahahaha.

Namiss nyo ba si Jake? Ako din hahaha. Pero ako lang dapat makamiss. Selfish ako. Iregalo nyo na sya sakin, magbibirthday na ko oh! HAHAHAHAHA.

Speaking of birthday, may game ako! Kung sino makahula ng exact date ng birthday ko, (MM/DD/YY) pwede magtanong sakin ng kahit ano about the story! Day 24

"Maine, are you sure about this? Are you'd go back to New York and stay there for good?"

I let out a sigh before I answered. "Oo. Wala naman na din akong babalikan dito eh. Okay na yung bahay na lilipatan nila Nanay at Tatay dun. Bu next month, susunod na din sila sakin. Sila Ate Niki pupunta nalang daw very special occassions. Sila Kuya Nico pinag-uusapan pa nila ni Ate Marie kung dun na sila magpapakasal at magsstay. Si Dean naman alam mong di yun lalayo sakin. Coleen's just waiting for Mike to finish his contract tapos nakakuha na din sila ng bahay dun. As for Yaya Pepe, sasama din sya sakin para for the meantime e di ako nag-iisa sa bahay. Nagsimula daw kasi akong mabaliw nung mag-isa lang ako dun, hahaha."

"So everything's settled na pala. How 'bout your friends? Alam ba nila na di ka na babalik?"

"Di naman totally di na babalik, siguro pag special occassions uuwi ako. Tsaka Jan always knew that I wanted to stay at New York for good. Christian and Kat respects my decision too and dadalaw nalang daw sila tsaka may video calls naman. For Valeen and Patricia, I might tell them after the wedding."

"E pano ako?"

I gave him a strange look and chuckled. "Cute mo talaga mag-tagalog kaya iwan ka dito. Para kang may invisible braces hahahaha."

"Nicomaine."

"Eto naman nagjojoke lang e. Syempre you'll come with me naman diba? Magkapitbahay lang naman tayo dun. Di naman napaghahalataang masyado kang clingy na binlackmail mo pa yung supposed to be na kapitbahay ko para ikaw ang makabili nung kabilang unit. Grabe Jake."

"But I haven't asked Dad about staying there for good, and Ellie.. You know I can't leave that princess behind."

"Then you can stay here. Jake, I'm not forcing you to leave your life and come with me. Ikaw 'tong nagpresinta na sumama ka sakin tapos dadramahan mo ko dyan."

"It's because I want to be with you.."

I slid the last shirt in the bag and went closer to Jake. "Edi dalawin mo nalang ako dun! Same routine gaya ng dati. Visit me whenever you can. Gawin mo ulit parang kanto lang ng bahay nyo yung New York."

"Meng naman eh.."

"Jake, don't make me feel like I am making you choose because I am not your responsibility. I don't want to be a hindrance on whatever you want to do in your life. I don't want to depend too much on you. I wanted to learn things by myself without asking any help from anyone. I don't want to take advantage of your kindness just because you have feelings for me. You can move on without worrying for me. Find a girl who'll reciprocate the love you can give. I am letting you to do things on you own because I am letting you go. I want you to be happy too, Jake."

"But you are my happiness, Maine. I am not asking you to love me too. Just let me love you. Kahit eto lang, let me."

"But I am not that selfish Jake. You give me happiness too pero di sapat yun para maibalik ko yung pagmamahal na binibigay mo. Hindi pa ko ready na buksan ulit yung puso ko kasi hanggang ngayon, nasasaktan parin ako. At hindi ko kayang maging masaya at ipasa sayo yung sakit na nararamdaman ko. I don't want to hurt you to find temporary happiness if I could genuinely be happy pag nabuo ko na ulit yung sarili ko. I'm sorry Jake."

I wrapped my arms around him a gave him a hug. We stayed like that for a couple of minutes until he let go. I his blushed face and tried to hide it but it was too late.

"Grabe naman Emilio! Ganyan ba kalakas ang tama mo sakin na nagba-blush ka matapos kitang yakapin? Ang cute mo!" I teased him as I removed his hands covering his face.

"Ano ba.."

"Hahahahaha nakakatawa talaga yung itsura mo! Pero, seryosos na, tama na yung dramahang ganito. Madrama na nga ko gagaya ka pa! Ikaw kasi pasimuno e."

"Ito na ba lahat ng dadalhin mo? Baka may gusto ka pa idagdag. Etong teddy bear? San ba galing 'to? Kala ko dinonate mo na yung regalong stuffed toys ng mga fans?"

I looked at the huge stuffed toy Jake was holding. It was the first stuffed toy 'Yaya Dub' received from Alden during the Kalyeserye days. It was one of the things she still kept for it holds a special place in her heart that she couldn't just let go.

"Iwan mo na 'yan dyan. Dadalhin 'yan kay Matti, ang tagal nya ng hinihingi yan e."

"You want me to bring it instead? Pupunta kasi ako sa kanila e, I'll talk to John about that project I was offering to him."

"Just leave it there, isusurprise ko kasi si Matti."

"Okay, let's go?"

"Yeah."

I waited until Jake went out of the room and picked up the teddy bear and placed it on the bed. "You know I can't lose you still right? Not now.. Or ever."
