Now fully intact with reality, Chris opens his mouth to say something but nothing comes out. He doesn't know how to tell Johnathan... Why he ran away.... Why he nor Johnathan and Alice are "normal". He truly is afraid of how Johnathan will react to the truth. To be honest he would much rather tell Alice and Johnathan together.
Johnathan asks again " how do you know I met Alice, have you been following me all day long?"
Chris says serenely, "I would like to tell both you guys together, if that's okay with you"?
"Okay but I want to know every single thing if I can sneak back in Alice's cabin tonight."Johnathan says.
Is it possible for them to sneak into Alice cabin without getting caught? Is Alice some how connected to Chris return? Can Chris be trusted? All these thoughts ran through Johnathan's mind.
Johnathan says sleepily... "Well lets go to sleep and we will figure out our plan in the morning".
It is now eleven o'clock and everyone in the school is already asleep by now, everyone's cabins porches lights were on and it was very quiet... A little too quiet.
A mild dampness filled the air, the late spring night was perfect for a good night sleep.Eager for bed Johnathan started getting ready for bed and blew up an air mattress for Chris to sleep on.
This brought memories back to Johnathan as he blew up the mattress... Remembering how he used to do this when he would have sleep overs with Chris during primary school, still sometimes he would think of all the fun they had together as young boys... Missing them times more than ever before, especially after his mom died when he was 12.
