Its been two days since the attack and everyone is ready to leave. Most think the memwards gave up by now, but others think they are just waiting for them to leave the shelters to strike again.

Mr.James, and Mrs. James are the folks who ration out the food and water making sure its not over eaten. They give out breakfast bars at 10 a.m. and dinner at 7 p.m. only. They hand everyone only one water bottle a day.

They even did a head count to be able to do the math for how long the food and water would last. According to their calculations the food and water would last another three days for this huge amount of students there are exactly 346 of us.

They also have taken a census to keep track of who got what that day. Everyone wrote down their names in a list, so it would be easier to keep track of who got what.

Today is Sunday, September 17, 2102. We all been here so long, well long enough, that everyone got to know everyone. Mostly everyone all ready knew one another but a few students, who eventually introduced themselves.

Now everyone knows eachother will at least by name and appearance.

"Alice Mr. and Mrs. James both said that the head count today does not add up. They said there are twelve people missing according to the head count they did." says Sam, the son of Mr. and Mrs. James.

"What, who exactly went missing?" says Alice

"Well, that's the problem no one knows who exactly went missing. We do know however that there was 170 girls and 176 boys. Now there is only 164 girls and 170 boys." Sam says

"Do you have the names of everyone here"? Johnathan ask

"Yes" Sam says, handing over the list of names to Johnathan.

"Let's take attendance, who ever don't answer to their name is missing. We can ask everyone when was the last time that person was seen and figure this out". Johnathan says as he walks to the center of the room.

"James Gole, William Rase, Dorothy deen, Frank deen..." Johnathan calls out names. Once done with roll call he now knows who exactly went missing. He circles the names of the students who's missing as he goes.

The twelve students missing are: Frank Deen, Matthew Riles, Gabriele Ray, Gloria Brown, William Rase, Halley Gate, Josh Hane, Jane Smith, Greg leed, Brianna Ames, Tony Yang, and Tammy Dales.

Johnathan slowly walks over to Alice and Sam. "Here is the list of names, I circled all the names of the people who went missing, Sam go get your parents and you guys ask the students here do any of them knows any of these students who disappeared. Go now." Johnathan says

Taking Johnathan's orders, Sam rushes over to his parents and they walk around asking everyone about what they know on the missing people.

"Alice I am afraid there is another name that's not on that list, that's missing..." Johnathan says as he reaches to touch Alice's face.

Alice knows who, but can't bring herself to believe it. She wants to believe that this is all a huge, ugly dream. That this whole situation is all in her imagination. "Who"? Alice says as tears run down her face.

She can't bear to hear his name, she hopes it's some one else, hopes someone came forward and told Johnathan a name that wasn't on the list. Hopes she is only having a nightmare.

"Chris, he didn't make it to the underground shelters. I'm so sorry Alice." Johnathan says as he hugs Alice. He can feel her pain wrap around him, he can feel panic building up inside of her.

He feel how miserable she truly is, how desperate she is to just see him one more time. He knows she needs Chris he can feel her slipping away, emotionally. He knows he must find a way to find Chris, or Alice will never be herself again.

Will Johnathan find chris and the other twelve students missing, or is he too late?

Sam rushes over to Johnathan "Johnathan can I talk to you for a minute. Everyone here knows nothing about these students disappearances." Sam says

"In fact Dorothy Deen, don't even remember her own twin brother, Frank Deen who went missing. I know they are twins because I had a class with the both of them. Why does she don't remember her own twin? It's like she didn't even know him. I asked her several times, and she said each time 'never knew him'." Sam contiues.

"The thing is everyone not just her said that exact same thing." sam continues with a look of confusion on his face.

"Everyone here knew everyone yesterday but now today they do not". sam continued

"Why does no one remembers these students? It seems as if no one has any recognition of these students. what's happening"? Johnathan asks as he sits on the floor overwhelmed with all his emotions.

He can't bear not being able to help. He feels useless, and for the first time he doubt there is a way to stop the memwards. He thinks about what if tomorrow more students disappear and the next day, and the next, eventually there would be none left.

He thinks about whether he can protect Alice from becoming one of the missing. He wonders how she would be like if he, himself became missing.

Tears run down his face, he just can't believe how far from normal his reality has become. How disfigured his mind is..he can't believe he lost Chris, after just getting him back. All these thoughts haunt him.
