Garroth's pov

I still remember when I lost the girl I loved.

~Four years ago~

"Aphmau wil have to leave Phoenix Drop Academy." Zoey says gravely. Travis and Dante speak in unison. "How will she be educated?"She will be homeschooled. You will be able to visit her after your classes and during the weekend." I just looked at her. I didn't care if I was crying then.

I didn't want to lose her then, so why did I just walk away? Even though Zoey said we could visit Aphmau in all that time I never set foot in that house again. I avoided everyone and started to become a different person. Four years without the love of my life turned me aggressive and short tempered. I avoided all of my friends and quit the basketball team. I left everything that reminded me of her behind.

Everything was different with out Aphmau and I noticed everyone drifted apart without her. They all looked so dull without her. Zane being hit second hardest. No one can top me when it came to her. He became the Zane everyone hated to try to get her attention. Guess he's a tsudere by heart. Days blended by and soon it was Graduation Day. Now I'm at the gates of the Wyvern College looking to get away from it all. Hopefully I'll be able to make a new life here.

Aphmau's pov

When Zoey told me the news I locked myself in my room for a week but eventually I grew used to homeschooling. I learned how to control my powers and my "automatic sleeping technique" as Zoey calls it. Everyone hung out with me at least once, well almost everyone. Garroth never came. From what Zane told me he became a loner. To be honest I was worried but Zoey kept me working so I couldn't go out that much.

It's been four years and now I'm in the Wyvern College dorm unpacking my stuff with my new friends Stacey and Lizzie next to me. We were currently waiting my new dormmate. Stace and Liz are dormmates and mine's probably a complete stranger. The door knob turns and I think it's my dormmate but I was wrong. "Hey girls wanna go get some food?" Sky says as everyone enters my room. "Sky! Can't you see we're waiting for someone!?" Stacey yells and the guys all hold up their hands in surrender.

"Sorry Stace but we're hungry and we thought you were too." Gizzy explained. "Can we get food later? We really want to meet Aphma-" Liz was cut off by a high pitched voice. "Who is my new roommate?" A girl with red hair pushes past the guys. I smile widely. "That's me! My name's Aphmau." I hold out my hand and get tackled with a hug instead. "My name's Shelby! I can tell we're gonna be the best of friends!"

After Shelby gets unpacked everybody went to the cafeteria and thats where I saw him.
