Aphmau's pov:

It's been awhile since Travis ran after Katelyn. I was starting to get worried. Vlyad and Zane passed out on Max's bed so it was just Garroth and I. "What do you think is keeping them?" I asked him, trying to keep the worry out of my voice. He looks out his window and smiles to himself. "They're back, but you might want to check this out." He points out the window and I see Katelyn in Travis's arms basically straddling his waist. "I guess we know where they're going tonight." I mutter and smile.
I hear Garroth whisper, "I remember that night..." I look down sadly and nod. "I do too." I clap and force a smile. "But the past is the past and it's late. We should probably get to sleep." He nods and grabs a small blanket and heads towards the bathroom. "Where are you going?" I ask him. "I'll sleep in the bathtub tonight. You have my bed." I smirk and decided to tease him a little bit. "So the 'perfect boy gone bad' can still act perfect?" He blushed. "No I just don't want..." He trailed off and blushed even more.

I leaned against the window, wondering to myself. "What would have happened?" I muttered to myself.
"If what?" He asked, looking confused. "If that night... We hadn't used protection. If I'd have gotten..." My voice trailed off as I choked back a sob. "Would it have been different?" My voice cracks. Garroth drops what he's holding and holds me. He strokes my hair and looks me in the eye. "I don't know Aph. I really don't." He leaned in close. "I've done a lot of stupid shit in the past but leaving you," he cups my cheek in his hand. "That was the stupidest thing I've ever done. If I could go back, I would. I would redo it one hundred times over." I place a finger over his lips.

"You're ranting, Garroth. But I know what you mean." I smile at him. "You know they miss you right? Levin and Malachi. Levin used to ask the others and I every day when his daddy would come home." I turned away and stared out the window. "It always broke my heart to hear and not be able to give him an answer." Garroth looked broken. "I... I'm so sorry, Aphmau. I was hurt and reckless and..." I cut him off. "Classes have started and we need sleep." I picked up the things on the floor and placed them on the bed. Then I extended my hand to him. "Just like old times?" He smiled and took it, pulling me close. "Just like old times." We laid down and I let the familiar darkness consume me.
