A Choice

Katelyn's pov

"Wake up, young warrior. We have much to discuss." I open my eyes. I'm floating in darkness and I feel different. "Whats going on? Where am I?" A voice speaks and I can't find the owner anywhere. "I guess you can say we're everywhere but nowhere. As to what is going on, your soul must calm down in order to fight. You must be ready physically and emotionally." It takes a little bit to process what I was just told. I open my mouth slowly, "How do you know I will fight?" I can feel the owner of the voice smile. "You seek revenge for your friend and your lover. I am using the last of my strength to convince you not to fight for revenge. That you must fight for your friends and the innocent." Everything that happened this week flits into my mind; Jeffery's death, Aaron sensing it, Aphmau growing closer to Garroth and the past I swore I would never tell.

My hand moves to my stomach. I feel my baby kick and I decide I'm going to protect it no matter what. "What do I have to do?" I say my voice full of confidence. "You must keep you mind clear, your emotions in check and you need to rely on others from time to time. Now I must go my life force is fading. I wish you the best of luck in the future. Farewell, Divine Warrior Katelyn." Before I have a chance to say anything my eyes are open and I'm tackled. "Katelyn!" Aphmau yells. "I thought you were dead!" Tears are forming in her eyes as I slowly get up. "What happened?" I asked. "Why did you think I was dead?" She looks uncomfortable when I ask. "Y-You were shot...w-with an arrow. Travis carried you here in tears and I healed you."

I think for a second and get up. "Where are you going?" Aphmau asks following me. "I'm going to find Travis. Maybe he saw who shot me." I open the door and hear Travis say, "I've loved with Katelyn Firefist since
I first met her." I drew a sharp breath and everyone in the hall turned toward me. "Kate-" I started running. I didn't think about where I was going I just let my feet carry me there. When I opened my tear filled eyes I see I'm standing in front of an all to familiar tree in the park. I heard Travis and the others calling in the distance but I didn't want to talk to them so I started climbing. Halfway up the tree I hear something and my foot slips.

I close my eyes and brace for a bone crushing impact but it never came. "I'll be there to catch you when you fall." I hear a voice above me. "Katelyn I'm sor-" I cut him off with a kiss. "Shut up and kiss me, you dimwit." I smiled as Travis kissed me harder and pulled me closer. "I love you, Travis Warlock." I whispered.

Hey guys! Sorry I haven't updated and sorry its a short chapter! I hate when my schedule gets all jacked up and I HATE high school drama. Yeah so I've been bullied recently and I was almost pregnant myself so its been a rough few weeks. Sorry I haven't updated lately its just a lot of stupid crap.
