Moment

Garroth's pov

Max and I went to our room after dinner and I heard a familiar voice in the room across the hall. I stopped walking and Max asked, "You okay, man?" He walked up next to me. Thats when Aphmau turned around. Max started talking to the other people in the room but I stopped listening to them. I just stared at Aphmau and all I could do was be angry with myself for doing so.

"A sleepover sounds like a great idea! Wanna join Max? Garr-" I quit spacing out and saw that Aph was crying. "I-I'm s-sorry guys. I, I just need some fresh air." She pushed past me and want down the hall. Worried and angry that she told those people one of the biggest secrets in the Ru'an region, I followed her.

After about twenty minutes of searching I finally find Aphmau crying in a tree at the nearby park. 'Reminds me of the time I broke up with her to protect her.' I think to myself. "You haven't changed." I call up to her. "It seems you have." Aph stops crying and forces a smile. "Your expression is always angry and you changed your attitude." She starts to climb down but her foot misses the branch and I yell, "Watch out!" I rush to catch her and hold myself up with the tree.

I look down and grunt, "You okay?" Aphmau looks up from my chest and says, "Y-Yeah. What about you?" I set her down and hold her by the waist. "I just lost my footing a little." Aphmau wraps her arms around my neck. "I'm so thankful you didn't get hurt." I look down and lean my face closer to hers without thinking. Our faces are centimeters apart but when our lips are about to kiss someone calls, "Aphmau!! Are you okay?!"

Aph pulls away quickly and yells, "I'm okay, Sky!" She turns to me and says, "We should go. Please don't tell the others about what just happened. I don't need them worrying, especially after I just told them one of the biggest secrets ever." I just scowl and nod. "I'll go buy some food and stuff for the sleepover." I say and start walking away before she can respond. 'She has new friends now.' I remind myself. 'I can't let my feelings get the best of me again.' Before I go to the store I decide to call my baby brother, Zane. I'm sure he'll like to see Aphmau again, it has been four years.

Z: What's up, Big Brother?

G: Sorry it's so late but I thought you might want to know we're going to the same collage as Aphmau.

Z: ....Did you become a stalker?

G: What?! No! I just happened to run into her at the dorms!

Z: Uh huh... Well I was planning to come tomorrow but I guess I can push it forward a few hours.

G: Alright, see you tomorrow.

Z: See you tomorrow. Oh, and Garroth?

G: Yes?

Z: I won't give her up like you did.

I hang up caught off guard and buy the snacks for the sleepover.
