A Newcomer

I watch as the Demon Warlock kills an innocent. Two of the chosen soon come and take the man's body away. The female seems the hardest hit by this sacrifice of war. 'I should visit the girl. Calm her soul.' I double over in pain. "I've almost overstayed my welcome. I don't have a lot of time left.

Aphmau's pov

I wake to the sound of Katelyn's sobs. "Katelyn! What happened?!" I yell waking up the others. Katelyn just looks at something under a sheet. Travis brings me out into the hallway. "Travis? What happened?" He hesitates but speaks up. "Jeffery, he was killed right in front of Katelyn. She's heartbroken and she doesn't know what to do about the child." Travis looks down and ball his hands into fists. "Who did this? Who made Katelyn cry, Travis? I will make him think twice about hurting the people close to us." Travis looks up, hatred in his eyes. "My father. The Demon Warlock."

I remember my mother telling me about that man. He's a ruthless monster that only thinks about himself. I place a hand on my chest. 'I feel so empty without her.' I nod and go back inside the room. Everyone is awake and confused. I walk over to Katelyn and hug her gently, like a fragile piece of glass. "Shh, everything's gonna be alright. I'll make sure of it." I hold her until she cries herself to sleep. Travis picks her up and puts her in Garroth's bed. "Can someone please explain to me why Katelyn just cried herself to sleep?" Zane whisper yells. I just walk over to the place I noticed when I woke up, where I assume Jeffery's body is, and pull back the sheets.

"Oh my god!" Zane mutters. "What the?!" Vlyad almost yells. "Who would-!" Garroth was calmer than the others but he was still concerned. "The Demon Warlock." I say cutting off the oldest brother. "He killed an innocent bystander in cold blood." I hold out my right hand. "This man, Jeffery Goldenheart, will be forever remembered by all for his sacrifice in a war to come. No matter what anyone thought he went out a warrior and will be buried as a warrior. Unguth Quintam!" In a flash of light Jeffory's body was gone and it was deathly quiet. Vlyad broke the silence, "Where did you send him?" I feel my power draining and my body grow weak. "To a place only the previous Divine Warriors know about." After that I lost consciousness.

Katelyn's pov

My dreams are filled with memories and my memories feel like nothing but a dream. There is one memory that I see many times; Aaron introducing me to my beloved, Jeffery. But then, I see the thing I didn't want to in a million years. The one thing I never wanted to re-live. Jeffery's death. I wake up in a cold sweat, tears streaming down my face. I look around the room and saw all of my friends around the bed. The two lovebirds snuggling close together, the brothers staying close and Travis by himself. He was right next to me, holding my hand. I smiled and put the blanket over him. "Thank you, Travis."

I whisper in his ear before leaving the room. I walk to the nearby park and think about everything that happened in the past day. After about twenty minutes, I sense a presence behind me. I feel an arm come closer, slowly but surely. Before the hand got too close, I grab it, judo flip the person and get on top of them, making sure the person can't move. I hear a chuckle, "Glad your back to normal." I recognize that voice. "Travis?" I lessen the gap between us to get a better look and sure enough I see those emerald eyes I always really liked. "U-Uh, K-K-Katelyn?" He stutters. "Hm? Oh, s-sorry!" I try to get off of him but my hand slips on the grass beneath us and I feel something soft on my lips. I'm pretty sure my face looks like a tomato or a strawberry.

The kiss ends after a few seconds but I don't get up. I just stare into Travis's emerald orbs and he stares into my light blue ones. Time seems to stop and nothing happens for the next few minutes. "Katelyn? Travis?" I hear a voice that I haven't heard in four years. "Aaron."
                                                            
Hey guys, I know some of you are mad at me for killing off Jeffery but I urge you to keep reading. All will be explained soon. Also yes I do have Aaron in this book and no I will not kill him off. I miss the guy in MCD soo much so I won't be that cruel. Hope you all liked the chapter and tell me what you think. Don't forget to smile!
