I bit her. I hurt her, I hurt her massively. I couldn't believe I had done that. I stared at her guiltily with tears running down both of our cheeks. "What have I done?! I could have killed you! Go away, before I hurt you more than I have already! I just-"
She stopped my blabbering, and pulled me into a warm hug. I looked past her at the grass she was laying on. I smelled the blood dripping from my muzzle, dripping onto her shoulder. I almost pushed her away, but I relaxed and listened to her speak.
"Lindsay, it's not your fault! You were protecting me, doing everything you could to save me," She rubbed the tears from my furry cheeks, since I was still in my wolf form.
"I need to get you to the doctor, Ciana. Should I call an ambulance?" I started panting frantically. I paced back and forth. I turned back to my human form and tried to help her up. When I bit her, she twisted her knee, and might have broken it. When I tried to help her up, she winced and fell back down. I called the ambulance and it arrived in 6 minutes.
"What happened?!" One of the people asked as they were loading Ciana onto the stretcher. I stared at my feet as I said, "Um- A stray dog ran up and bit her arm when someone attacked her, but the man got away..."
"Which way did he go?" The man asked.
I pointed down the sidewalk and said "Thataway."
"Thank you." He said. He then started mumbling into his walkie-talkie,"He went south on Bridgebane Way, towards the community pool."
"M'am, would you like to come with your friend here?" One of the men in the ambulance asked me. I felt myself calming a little bit "Y-yes please..." I stuttered. I stepped into the ambulance and as soon as the doors shut, the siren started wailing and the ambulance lurched forward and sped to the hospital.

When we got there, women came out to take the stretcher into the huge building. When we entered, I heard the beeping of the computers, and people talking about people's conditions. People were surprisingly calm, calmer than when I'm normally at hospitals. We entered Ciana's room, and the women asked for her parents phone numbers so they could come. I sat silently in the corner of the room as they took X-rays of Ciana's arm and leg.
"She was bitten badly by that dog, she lost a bit of blood but I think her arm will be fine," the nurse was saying quietly to the doctor, "as for her leg, it hit a rock and broke. What do you recommend Dr. Simms?" The doctor came closer to Ciana and scratched his old gray-haired head.
"Well, she will need a few stitches on her arm, and we will do surgery to relocate the bone in her leg." He said to the nurse. "Dear, you will be on crutches for a few weeks. This type of fracture heals fast." Ciana nodded and mumbled a quiet 'ok'.
When Ciana's parents arrived, the doctor explained her condition, and the cost. It wasn't much luckily. Ciana's mom walked to her daughter's side and brushed a strand of hair behind her ear.
"Oh dear you will be ok. What happened anyways? Explain it in full detail." Her mom said worriedly.
Ciana explained everything to her parents, and I bit my lip when she got to the part about the man attacking her. She bent the truth a little and said that a nice looking stray dog came up and tried to attack the man, but he dodged out of the way, and the dog accidentally bit her. She said the man got up and ran, with me chasing him, and hitting and yelling at him. Leaving out the whole me -being-a-wolf thing. Thank god.... I sighed.
