Chapter 16- His Dad

Me and Adam were finishing our movie after everyone left. Zack and I traded phone numbers so we could text, and not grow apart again. We explained things to Ciana and Jacob, and it turns out that they are mates as well. I thought they were quite a cute couple! I touched Adam's arm lightly and turned done the TV.
He looked at me as I asked, "Why is everyone calling you Alpha? Are you leading a pack?"
"Yeah, I just became Alpha after.. Um..." He paused, wiping his eyes lightly. "After my dad died a month ago." He ran his hands through his hair as he was obviously holding back tears. He must have taken that experience hard...
"Babe, why didn't you tell me?" I said, cupping his face with my hands, turning his head towards me. I could see the sadness in his dark brown eyes as his stared into my deep blue ones.
"I couldn't work up the nerve to do it.. I just can't stand to talk about it.. I feel like no one understands this sadness within me, this emptiness." He stopped as he let out a faint sob.
"Adam you can tell me anything. I understand how you feel, since my grandpa died, I was really close to him. I just hope you know you can tell me anything." I stopped as a tear rolled down each of our cheeks.
He leaned down into my lap and stared up at me, as I pet his hair, running my fingers through it. "I love you." I whispered.
"I love you too." He said back, leaning up to kiss me.
"I wish I could help you." I said, looking at my dresser in the far corner of the room. I felt a tear roll down my other cheek, falling onto his neck. Aussie padded into the room and jumped onto the bed, licking Adams face. He laughed and his sadness-smell lightened.
'You guys ok?' Asked Aussie through the wolf-link.
'Yeah we're fine, can we have some time alone?' I asked Aussie.
'You bet.' Aussie said back, and walked through the slightly open door.
Adam wiped away his tears, grabbed my waist and flipped me over so he was on top of me.
"Get off!" I said playfully, squirming.
"I don't want to." He smirked.
I groaned and just squirmed more, smiling up at him. He sat back a little, sitting on his knees but partially on my legs, so I couldn't get up.
"You don't want to struggle..." He said in a sing-song voice, and raised one eyebrow.
"Or what?" I smirked.
"I have a feeling you're ticklish!" He yelled semi-loud.
I felt the color drain from my face as I realized what he was going to do.
He slowly moved one hand and grabbed my wrists, and the other to my stomach.
Then he starting making his fingers crawl all over my mid-section.
"Stop!" I yelled in between laughs, almost gasping for breath.
After a few seconds longer he stopped and crawled off. And I was holding my sides because it was cramping from the laughing.
He chuckled watching me laugh.
After a while I asked, "Do you want to stay over?" I crawled to the foot of the bed to continue our movie.
"As long as I can sleep with you." He said and laid next to me, putting his leg around mine.
"Ok." I smiled, not looking at him.
I turned the TV down once again and crawled beneath the covers with Adam. I scooted closer to him as I asked, "So about that pack you are leading, what's it called?" I stared at the ceiling waiting for his answer.
"The Forest Dawn pack." He said, also staring at the ceiling.
I thought for a moment, then I started to worry. "Do you have a Luna?"
He looked at me softly. "The only Luna I would want is you."
I smiled as he continued. "Lindsay, would you do me the honor of being the female leader of my pack, the Forest Dawn Pack, Luna?"
"Of course." I nodded and kiss him softly.
"We'd best get to sleep." I said after a while.
"Ok. Night, my beautiful Luna." He smirked.
"Good night, my Alpha Bear." I smiled and we hugged as we fell asleep.
