When I awoke, my vision was blurred, and I felt numb all over. I tried to lift my head to look around, but I made a failed attempt. I laid there for a good few minutes, thinking about what could have happened, then it hit me: humans. I'd been tranquilized and captured by humans.
After my vision had cleared, I examined the metal cage I was in. It was made of a light metal, and it was really cold, making my body shiver when I moved.
I faintly heard other howls, barks and whines, I heard the soothing voices of humans also. I hope the humans are nice...
I looked to my right and saw Ciana laying next to me. She was still asleep because of the medicine.
As I watched her chest go up and down slowly in rhythm with her shallow breathing, I examined her. Her fur was matted from her tumble down the hill, but it glimmered from the bright light outside the cage. I saw that her paws were cut up from running along the rocks after hearing the humans' voices. I feel my paws start to ache after I was sitting up for a while.
I laid back down and felt my eyes closed, they were especially heavy today. I tried to stay awake but the sleepiness overpowered me.
When I woke the second time, Ciana was pacing back and forth whining, looking between the bars of the cage. She looked at me with relief.
"Lindsay you're awake! I thought you would never wake up!" She laid beside me and whispered in my ear, "Guess what..."
"What?" I responded worriedly.
"Adam and Jacob are HERE." She whisper shouted.
"Wait, what?" I said confused.
She flicked her snout in the direction of the cage in front of us, on the other side of a hallway. I got to my paws, but my legs were shaky and I had to hesitate. After regaining my balance I walked a short distance to the bars. As I looked at the cage in front of us, I saw a male with a black pelt staring back at me. Then I realized it was Adam.
"Fancy seeing you here, Lindsay." He said with a slight laugh
"I thought I wouldn't see you again," I laughed. "But I guess I am."
"Clingy much?" He asked, and I blushed, feeling a mixture of embarrassment and hurt within me. "I am kidding, you know that right?" He spoke once again in that beautiful voice of his.
"Yeah, I know you're kidding..." I said trying to cover up my blush by laying down with my head on my paws.
"Anyways, s-since it's m-... Never mind..." He blushed and looked away, and I tilted my head curiously wanting to know what he was going to say.
"Ok then, so... uh... do you know what this place is?" I said peering at him through the bars.
"I think this is a place where they take, wolves then release them. I had a few friends who claimed to have been taken here, then released back into the wild. W- Humans are weird, am I right?" He said.
I wagged my tail after he stopped talking. I loved the way his eyes shone when he looked at me. His tail wagged back as he winked at me. I couldn't believe it. Someone might actually like me for once. I blushed and looked away as I heard a clang. A door behind me opened as I saw outside. I turned around to walk out with Ciana as I noticed she and Jacob were talking, with lust in their eyes for each other.
I heard someone yell, "Lindsay, wait!"
I walked back to the front of the cage to see him. I was dancing on my paws to get back outside and back home.
"There's a fence, so we can't get out yet. We have to wait until they release us. Anyways, want to... Uh... Meet up outside maybe?" He asked.
I blushed as I answered, "Sure, yeah. I- I'd love to, Adam."
I turned away as he winked, again. I raced outside alongside Ciana to meet our favorite males.
