Recap
My dad used to be the one that made breakfast every weekend up till lastyear.. One day he went to another optometrist conference, this time in San Diego and never came back. We waited days, weeks and eventually months. We tried calling him but the number couldn't be reached. We tried contacting his colleagues from his clinic but They all thought he was back home with us. We knew he was still alive though, cause we got a notice in the mail directed to him, about camcelling a bunch of credit card accounts.
Finally me and my mom drew a conclusion. Something we never thought we would have to live through. he'd left us, left us for good. Probably making his own life somewhere. Maybe started a new family. At that I clenched my fists.
Oh well. My mom was enough for me. As the years built up, so did my dislike for him. Though from time to time I do miss him a lot. I miss the way every Saturday and Sunday morning I'd wake up to the mouthwatering smell of cinnamon French toast. I'd run down the stairs to see my dad, still in his pj's, in a "Kiss the Cook" apron with my mom at his side. Smiling with his joy-filled light brown eyes. He'd hand me a slice of cinnamon french toast and a giant pancake with a smiley face made of Banana and strawberries. I snapped my self back to reality.
And sighed as I dragged my self out of bed to head downstairs. Trying very hard to hide the tiny ounce of hope still living in my gut telling me that waiting for me at the bottom of the stairs would be a pair of familiar welcoming light brown eyes and a smiling breakfast.

Chapter 13
"I'm going out for grocery Rosie sweety...be back in 45" mom called as she shut the door closed behind her. I sighed and slumped onto the couch. I'm alone. Now I can clear my thoughts and try to process what Rex told me last night.
-He used to be blind
-A surgery mishap fixed his eyes but with still one problem
-everygirl to look in his eyes...falls in love with him..
-Entranced. From what Rex said. Some sort of silver specks fly in there eye. Sometimes. Well he said there was too many to count.
I clenched my fists at that thought. Who knows how many girl were clawing at him. All of them wanting him. But he doesn't want them. it's like...
Forced love. That's horrible. I bet he probably thinks he'll never be able to fall in love with someone like it's supposed to be. Not by making the girl he likes look him in the eye and bada bing! Hes dome.
No. I bet he'd want more.
A challenge. A quest. That's what makes it worth while.
Knock knock.
I froze. If it was Mom she would have let herself in with her keys. And I wasn't expecting anyone... Curious, I ran to the peeping hole.
"For crying out loud" I snapped my fingers in frustration. The view was blocked by the stupid fruit basket decoration Mom hung on the outside of the door.
I turned on my ninja senses as I opened the door a tiny sliver...and peeked with one eyeball.
My jaw hit the ground as I panicked and shut the door as soon as I was met with green orbs.
I gulped. It wasn't the green eyes I was afraid of.
It was the silver specks in them that proved my accusation.
"If you don't open the door up so we can have a little chat. I'll ruin's Ryans life forever. And guess who's fault that would be?" she sneered. I opened the door a crack again. Just to see her casually checking out her fake nails and fiddled around with them. I simply flipped my chocolate brown hair over my shoulder and started to do what I normally did when I was stuck in this situation.
