After all my other classes were over it was about 6:00 pm. I went back to my cabin to rest for a bit. When I got there I found a text message from my mom. It said, "Call me back as soon as you get this." So I dialed her number and called her. "Hey sweet heart! How is everything going?" She asked. "Ok, guess." I replied. It was silent for a moment and the. She finally said. "So, do you remember that guy I introduced you to a while back?" She asked. "Steve?" I asked. "Yes Steve. Well, we started going out. I just thought I should tell you. I've moved on and I'm very happy. I hope you're not mad." She said. "No mom I'm not mad." (I'm furious!) "I'm happy for you. Well I got to go. I have one more class to go to today." (I'm lying. All of my classes are over.) "Ok sweet heart. Have fun!" She said, and then I hung up the phone. It hasn't even been a month and she's seeing someone else?
Just when I thought things couldn't get any worse I received a text from my father. Of course! It said, "Olivia, I'm to afraid to hear the anger in your voice when I tell you this, which is why I didn't call you. Lisa and I are getting married." I stopped reading right there and started to cry. Are you freaking kidding me!?! I continued reading. "The wedding will be in 3 months and Lisa would love for you to be a bridesmaid. You don't have to if you don't want to but it would mean a lot to me if you did. Please think it over and get back to me when you can. I love you." That was the end of the message. She wants me to be a bridesmaid!?! Hell no! Not for her! Screw her! I hate her! I hate my father! Why is this happening to me! I'm crying so hard I start to breathe really hard. I'm gasping for breath. Then my vision get blurry and I fall to the ground. That's when I hear footsteps. "Oh my gosh, Olivia! Hold on I'll go get help!" I heard maxes voice say. But she doesn't get it! There is no help! Not for me! When I fell to the floor I shattered into a million pieces. Can't she tell that I'm made out of glass!? Does anyone notice?!?
This divorce has caused my flesh and bone to turn into breakable glass. And I finally broken. I shattered into a million pieces. The girl I used to be is no longer the girl I am. That girl is dead.
I wake up in a room I've never seen before. I'm guessing it's the nurses office. "Good you're awake." A nurse said. She gave me some medicine to get rid of my headache and then sent me on my way. What that nurse doesn't know, is that there are some things medicine can't heal.
