Chapter 17 Guilty

   I felt bad for what I said to Derek yesterday so all through the day I've been trying to make it up to him. I tried to make him laugh during warm ups but ended up getting yelled at instead. "Olivia! Again? Pay attention!" Trixie yelled. I saw a smirk on Derek's lips. My next class was choir and I took a seat right beside him. "Hey!" I said. He said nothing back. So I decided to apologize. "I'm sorry for what I said to you last night. You were right." He still didn't say anything to me. I gave up and looked down at my music. We are singing "Bad Blood" by Taylor Swift. Perfect for this situation. Derek probably thought the same thing because I heard him chuckle. Finally I saw him smile.
   After choir was over it was time for show choir. Sadly Derek isn't in that class so I'll have to wait until it's over to talk to him again. Show choir is my favorite class here. It's super fun. We get to sing and dance!
   Finally class is over and I see Derek sitting by the lake. I go over to join him but then he gets up and walks away. "Derek! Are you seriously still mad at me? I'm sorry ok? You were right! I need to let more people into my life and I'm trying to. Will you give me one more chance?" I asked. "I'll think about it." He said. I nodded. Then he said, "Ok I thought about it. Sure I'll give you another chance." He smiled and his blue eyes sparkled. I smiled back. I still feel bad for what I said to him but I'm starting to feel less guilty. Derek makes me feel better. I need him. I just don't think he realizes it. At least he doesn't know yet. But he will...
