"Cindy, I'm on my way. Can you clock me back in."

"Yeah girl I got you. "

I hung up, and threw my phone in my purse. Fixing my eyes back on the road, I turned on my signals, and turned into the clinic's staff parking area. My lunch break is at 12:15, but I left out around 12:10 to go sit somewhere local with Jaii. She offered to treat us to lunch, then "forgot" her wallet at home. She a full ass lie.

"Hey Brielle." I turned to see one of the women working at the desk greeting me once I walked in.

"Hey boo." Simply, I smiled, and waved at her before walking back to my area.

"Thank you so much Cindy. I did not want Raymond ass on my back about leaving for lunch early. " Our manager, Raymond, is strict on us leaving for lunch early, or coming back late, so sometimes Cindy helps me out, and I help her.

"Brielle, you have a patient in room C12." I nodded my head, and headed my way to the room.

"Hello, I will be your nurse for today." My eyes stayed fixated on my clipboard, as I read over the stats. Looking up, I saw the same girl I saw about a week ago.

"Janae, right?"

"Yeah." She seemed happier, as if everything was going great for her. Everything going just as she wanted.

"Hey, girly. How's the little one?"

A wide grin spread across her face, "He or she is great. I still am experiencing some morning sickness, but other than that I am fine."

"Okay good. Shall we get started? Your doctor may be a while, so I start the prep for your ultrasound."

"Oh, um," She paused and looked around. My eyes followed hers and landed onto a jacket sitting on the . "My babies dad should be back, in just about a second." I nodded my head, and began sterilizing my hands. Slipping gloves on, my head shot to the door once I heard it being pushed open. To say I was shocked was an understatement. My brother stepped inside, wiping his brown tattooed hands on his shirt before looking up at me. His eyes widened as my glossed ones met his. It felt like we were staring at eachother for an enternity.

"Hello, I am Doctor Darkenington." Their doctor stepped inside, and shook Janae's hand, before turning to my brother to do the same. I turned so no one could see me wipe my eyes, and put on the best fake smile I can.

"Well, Janae I wish you two the best. And will see you next time." I hurriedly handed Dr. D the clipboard, packed my things, and left the clinic.

-*-

The whole way to home, I had butterflies fluttering at a million miles an hour. They swarmed in my stomach. My nerves are shot at this moment. My hands shook, but I tried to steady them on the wheel.

Why the fuck am I feeling this way?

It feel unprepared. Like some shit about come.

What the fuck?

The roads seemed longer than usual. Normally the clinic is about a 15 minutes drive from my house, but this seemed as it was hours.
