After I shoved my flute case and drum sticks into my locker, we walked out the back doors and went to the football field.
“Why the football field?” I asked. Ace just shrugged and kept walking. I rolled my eyes and followed. We reached the middle of the field and Ace abruptly sat down. I raised an eyebrow at him.
“Well are you going to sit down? Or are you going to just stand there all period?” He said sarcastically. I sat down and crossed my legs.
“So what are we going to do out here?”
“What do you wanna do out here?” Ace waggled his eyebrows suggestively. I lifted an eyebrow.
“Not like that.”
“Fine…” Ace said playfully looking disappointed. It was awkwardly silent for a few minuets.
“weeeelllllll…. What’s your favorite color?” I asked, not quite sure if he would play along or not.
“Are you really going to start this?” Ace asked lying down so he was on his back.
“Yup, are you going to answer the question? Or not?” I said impatiently
“My favorite color is green.” He stated simply. “What’s yours?” I thought about this for a minuet.
“I dunno it varies. Most days it’s blue.” I shrugged. Ace turned to face me, propping himself on his elbow.
“What’s your favorite animal?” He asked. I didn’t actually think he would continue this little game.
“A penguin” I smiled. Ace rolled his eyes.
“You’re such a girl.” Ace teased.
“Thanks.” I rolled my eyes. “What is your favorite animal?”
“That’s an easy one, Tyrannosaurus Rex.” He stated. I giggled.
“Well aren’t you a mocho man?” I said lifting an eyebrow.
“Yes I am! Now is that your question?” I laughed again.
“Maybe” I said.
“No it’s not! Tell me!” he demanded, pushing my knee.
“Fine.” I said, trying to think of a good question. The first one that popped to my head I said. “Have you ever been drunk off your ass?” Ace burst out laughing.
“Yeah.” He laughed some more. “Have you?” he asked grinning. I shook my head. His jaw dropped. “Really?” I nodded.
“Is that so hard to believe?” I asked astounded that he thought so low of me.
“Well….no actually, it’s not.” He smirked. “Well I’ll have to take you to a party sometime.” Yeah, like that’ll happen. “Okay now I have a question for you. Are you a virgin?” He asked with a completely strait face.
“Yeah…” I blushed. “Why!?”
“I dunno it just seems that you would be.”
“What is that supposed to mean?” I said my face becoming even redder. Before he could answer I said “Are you?” Ace shook his head. Of course not, he’s a popular guy that is a player.
“Have you ever been kissed?” he asked. “I bet you haven’t.”
“You know…” I started, “You are starting to sound like John Bender from the Breakfast Club.” I shook my head.
“Well I’m going to take your lack of an answer to my question as a no.” Ace said, pushing himself up to a sitting position. “Do you want to have your first kiss Tabbi?” Ace said with no joke in his eyes. I stared at the grass.
“I don’t know.” I mumbled.
“Don’t lie.” Ace commanded softly. I glanced up to meet his stare. I gave him a light smile.
“That is the truth.” I stated.
“Yeah, if you say so.” Ace said, not believing me. “You know…you can trust me.” He said seriously.
“Yeah? I guess you will just have to prove that.” Ace shrugged.
“Challenge accepted.” He stated. I rolled my eyes. Typical guy.
