At that moment the door burst open, and Mady stood in the doorway.

“Hey Ace, did you get the…” She said, cutting herself off. “Oh…am I interrupting something? She said slyly, assessing the situation, her eyes traveling from me, to Ace and back again.

Ace spoke up rather quickly. “Nope, not at all.” I closed my eyes and pressed my lips together, creating a thin line. So this was nothing to him? Fine then, it was nothing, it could be nothing for me too. I pushed Ace off of me.

“Nothing at all.” I sat up, glancing at Mady in the door way. “Do you need something, or have you come to stink up my room with your profuse smelling perfume?” Mady looked at me dumbfounded. I stood up and replaced Ace’s phone with my iPod. Synthetic Love by Motionless in White came on next, and I looked at Mady, raising my eyebrows with an annoyed look.

Mady kept staring at me, saying nothing. We held eye contact for a few seconds before she stammered. “I-I was wondering if Ace had gotten the combination yet. And also, turn the music down? It’s giving me a headache, and I can’t hear myself think.” She finished quietly. Ace looked at her annoyed and shook his head.

“No Mady. I didn’t get the combination, could you just drop it?” Ace said sharply. I turned the music up, just to piss her off, and she left. Thank the Lord! I thought she would never leave. I sat back on the floor, my back against the wall and looked at Ace. He looked at me for a second and then put his head down in his arms. I bit my lip and looked down. Why wasn’t he saying anything? We just kissed, right? Was it bad? Did I do something wrong? I sighed

“Maybe I should have locked the door.” Ace mumbled. I blushed and looked at him. I was looking at me, a silly grin on his face.

“Well you just think of everything, don’t you?” I giggled. He nodded and scooted over to me. I looked into his gray eyes, and he looked back into mine. My phone vibrated in my pocket and I broke eye contact, pulling my phone from my pocket.

“What time is band camp?” the text read, sent by an unknown number.

“Starts at five. Who’s this?” I quickly texted back, and checked the time. Shit! Band camp starts in a half hour! I stood up quickly, and picked my jeans up.

“You’re going to have to leave or turn around or something.” I stated, looking at Ace.

“That’s alright princess, I’m good where I am.” Ace smirked at me. I rolled my eyes.

“I bet you are, but I wasn’t asking.” I said coldly. Ace rolled his eyes, and then put his hands over his eyes.

“That’s as good as it’s gonna get, so either change while you have the chance, or go somewhere else.” Ace said a hint of playfulness in his voice. I scoffed and bit my lip, thinking of my options. Well…It’s not like it is awful to change in front of someone anything. In band, you have to change in parking lots and everything. I shrugged.

“You better keep your eyes closed buddy!” I said, commanding him.

“I like it when you’re forceful like that.” He said, laughing. I blushed and changed from my shorts into my jeans.

“You’re disgusting.” I stated once I was dressed. Ace chuckled.

“I know. Are you finished yet?”

“Yeah.” I said, sitting in my desk chair and putting my hair up in a ponytail. I glanced at Ace through the mirror, and caught him looking at me. He looked away and blushed slightly. “Somebody was thinking naughty thoughts.” I said quietly, more to myself than him.

“What was that?” He asked getting up and sitting on the edge of my bed, closer to me.

“Oh nothing!” I smirked at him. He looked at me, a little annoyed and then got an evil look on his face. I glanced back at him scared.

“What?” I said grabbing a bow off of my dresser and putting it in my hair. All of a sudden, Ace’s hands were attacking my sides, tickling me. I started laughing hysterically. “Ace!” I screamed. “S-S-Stop!” I yelled.

“Well why would I do that?” Ace laughed.

“Because it tickles! And I said so!” I said between breaths.

“Well that’s no fun!” Ace said, tickling me more. I tried to fight his hands off, but failed. I spun my chair towards him, so I could possibly have better luck pushing him away. When he didn’t stop, I used my feet to try and push him away, and it worked for a second. Ace wrapped his hands around my ankle and pulled me out of my chair.

My butt hit the floor, and my head hit the chair. What was it with me, and hitting my head today because of Ace? I blinked at Ace.

“Are you done now?” I said, looking at him. Ace thought for a moment. Before he had a chance to answer, I stood up, and took off running down the stairs. I was giggling and sat down by the door to put my shoes on. How was I going to get back to the school? I sighed and laced up my converse. Ace walked calmly down the stairs.

“Where are you going?” Ace looked alarmed.

“We have band camp in a few minutes.” I said glancing at him. Ace’s face dropped.

“We are going to be late!” He said worriedly. I looked at him.

“You’re concerned about that?” I looked at him seriously.

“Hell yeah I am! I want that date with you!” He looked at me. I blushed and stood up, getting ready to walk out the door.

“How are you getting to the school?” Ace said. I shrugged.

“No clue.” I sighed. He looked at me, and evil look on his face. I looked back, and raised an eyebrow.

“I’ll drive!” He said, walking out the door. I looked at him and nodded. I was about to follow him when I remembered I was missing some things. I ran up the stairs two at a time and grabbed my mace, and my iPod, then back down the stairs and grabbed two waters. I skipped down the driveway to Ace’s black 1995 Camaro. The T-tops were off and loud dubstep was blasting from the speakers. I rolled my eyes as the car was almost bouncing with the bass of the music and the song dropped.

I motioned at him to open the trunk, and he did. I dumped everything in the back and slammed the trunk. I hopped in the car and looked at Ace, waiting for him to drive off. Ace was already looking back and motioned to my seatbelt. I buckled up, and he sped off down the road to the school.
