Emergency. This was nothing more than emergency. Bri flung her limp, sore body out of bed and frantically began to throw her clothes on. The phone which was the tool in finding out the news fell quickly to the floor like a rock. She didn't even pay attention to Josh right now, whom was overly confused and terrified for her, he had never seen her like this before. He didn't want to speak too much, but he did have to ask, "Girl, what the hell just happened!?" He scooted over to the edge of the bed and handed Bri her panties, she would have never found them if he didn't give them to her. She promptly took them and looked up at him briefly before hobbling to her feet, she slid them on very quickly and whimpered quietly, "I need you to take me to the hospital. Now." There wasn't a hint of being sweet in her voice, no cute tone, no nothing. There was no time to be sweet and gentle about this, her one and only son was apparently hurt, or worse, who the hell knows. Bri slung her jacket on, which wasn't exactly necessary and she looked at him, she was far too beer buzzed to drive herself, but she would do it if Josh wasn't willing to do it for her.
"Aight aight. Lemme get my shit on." Josh didn't have much to get on, unlike Bri, he flung his shoes on and his pants. After he was ready he grabbed the keys and stood up, before he was even on his feet, Bri had the door open and she was halfway out of it. Emotions were building inside of her tiny body, she couldn't sit still, "Josh come on this isn't a fucking game." She snapped at Josh whom genuinely didn't know what was going on and it was driving him crazy, "Well shit, if you told me just what the hell is goin' on." Josh walked out the door and Bri quickly got to the elevator, mashing the button vigorously until the door slowly parted open for them. "Something happened to Blake, Alright??" Bri leaned against the elevator walls, not even realizing that her whole body began to shake at this point. Josh looked over at her and saw her shaking, it killed him on the inside to see his baby shake like this, he attempted to console her with a hand on her forearm, "Hey..Whatever is happenin' I'm right here for ya, aight? Nothin' is drivin' me away. Got that?"
His gesture of kindness was received, but not returned. She turned her head briefly to him and nodded, there was no smile on her face, no look of thank you, but she nodded in acceptance of what he had said. The doors opened and Bri almost ran out, she didn't say goodbye to the receptionist as she left. She ran outside now, and got to the car, Josh wasn't far behind her, but it was far enough to drive an irritation wedge into Bri, "Please, hurry the fuck up Josh.." She fiddled with the car door and eventually he unlocked it, she swung it open and climbed inside of the vehicle. Josh got into the car, turned it on very quickly and pulled away. The hospital was about ten minutes away. Luckily it was super late..err...early in the morning. Traffic was non existent, Bri shook in her chair, she couldn't think of anything but what happened to her baby boy..Did Bryan do something to him that caused him to be hospitalized? Did he fall and hurt himself? Is he sick? The possibilities were endless and she couldn't calm down whatsoever and it was visible. Josh had to stop at a red light and turn over at her as he saw tears silently stream down Bri's soft looking cheeks, it more than broke his heart to see her like this and there was one fact that stood out more than anything; he was entirely helpless to assist in relieving pain from her. He just had to sit back and watch as she silently had a break down.
"Baby girl, it'll all be okay. I promise nothin' is gonna happen. We'll get there, and find out what's happened to your little badass and he'll be aight. I promise." Josh attempted to make her feel better with words, knowing that if he tried to touch Bri, she'd more than likely physically lash out now and that would destroy him more than silence has. She didn't turn her head, instead she continued to chew on her finger roughly, "Thanks." Her word didn't carry much weight or volume, as the lights flashed before her eyes, all it did was remind her of when she was going through the process of giving birth. The lights of the hospital moving, and reappearing in front of her little eyes, the fear of something going wrong and Blake not being okay, the idea would not be entertained, as she shook her head to snap out of her little trance. It was not the time to dwell on past fears, for her current fears were much more realistic fears that were currently happening. The hospital was finally in sight as Josh pulled into the parking lot. She frantically looked around for a spot and pointed, Josh parked promptly where she pointed and stopped the car. Before the vehicle even stopped moving, Bri had the door open and she got out, she did slow down for Josh of course, she didn't want to leave him behind and be a total bitch about it.
