After the aftershocks of what just ALMOST went down right in front of her eyes, Bri spoke quietly and cautiously, clearing her throat as she did. "Yea, I'm fine. I didn't expect to see you here..Kinda random isn't it?" Bri was appreciative over how that timely save was. She wasn't exactly close to Jon whatsoever, she was an acquaintance of his and his fiance's best friend in the whole world. The man turned his head over to her and half smiled, releasing a little chuckle. "Well you see, I was in the area, popcorn was on the mind and maybe a drink, but I forgot the drink. And I heard some asshole screamin' in here and I couldn't just sit back and listen to him. Turns out you needed me." Jon popped more popcorn in his mouth and chewed on the salty food as he watched Bri turn cheek and smile a little.
"Yea, I do owe you a thank you now don't I? I mean without you I woulda had to kick someone's ass..on my own." Bri giggled a little before hanging her head low, her phone fell out of her butt pocket and crashed to the floor. She immediately dropped down and grabbed it, sitting on the floor and leaning back against the bench. Jon looked curiously at her and smiled a bit, "You're a spacey one nowadays..What the hell happened with you two anyways? Last time I saw, old dirt face and you were the happiest little group of farmers on that little show of yours." He laughed a little before leaning back on the wall and waited to hear her answer.
This question was way too complicated to answer, especially before the freaking show ended to tell the whole story with all the little details included. "Well, basically I discovered super late that my..husband, gosh even referring to him as my husband makes me gag. Anyways, I found out late that he was an asshole and was nothing more than..well, an asshole." Bri shrugged her shoulder and saw that she had a text from Josh, she was super happy about this for she hadn't heard from him all day and it gave her that little butterfly feeling in the pit of her tummy.
"Any reason why you got that ridiculous smile on your face? Or am I just that secretly pretty or some shit." Jon smirked a bit and cocked his head side to side in a little dorky way. He played a kind of coocoo character on television. So behind the scenes, it seemed like it would be natural for him to be just as crazy and kind of douchey off screen as well. Polar opposite to be honest, he was kind of mushy and a kind person to people who had..the courage to approach him. Luckily, Bri was ironically the more fearless twin and had no problem befriending Jon. "No you idiot, it has nothing to do with you.." Bri spoke quietly before giggling at how silly her friend was being.
Jon shook his head a little and exhaled at the end of her statement. He knew that there was something she was keeping quiet, something that was hidden in plain sight but also was hidden deep in her mind. "Come now, what the hell are you hidin' from me?" Bri immediately knew that she was busted, the only thing was what on Earth was she going to say to him without spilling the beans entirely. "Ew, I don't hide things, first of all. Second of all...It might not be any of your business, sir." Bri giggled quietly before standing up and looking at his hand, "Besides, don't you have little miss Toronto Sunshine to help out? She texted me asking if I've seen you."
Whoops, Jon didn't know his phone was on silent this entire time and as soon as he dug it out of his jean pocket, he saw two missed calls from his labeled, 'Toronto Wife' which was obviously in reference to where Renee was born. His eyes widened a bit as he giggled and redialed her, "I hate you Bri." Jon giggled quietly before smiling and walking out, "Hey..Babe..Yea I'm alright I swear, no no no, I didn't hit him.." Jon walked off as the locker door slowly closed behind him.
Bri was now alone back in the locker room, she sat down slowly back on the bench and curled her little legs to her chest before setting her phone down. She was thinking about everything that had just happened to her and all of the hurtful things that were just thrown at her from her husband. She was so confused about what had just taken place, what exactly was going to happen now? Bryan was obviously furious about the divorce and was in no position to resist her request. And quite frankly, it didn't matter if he didn't want to do it anyways, she was going to do it and that was final.
