It's been two days since the whole blow up with my Dad. He told me to stay in my room until I was ready to apologise and I did just that. I stayed in my room.  I haven't eaten and I could tell that he was worried.
"Jade will you please come out and eat something?" He begged.
"Nope." I said in a childish manner. I was ravenous but I wasn't going to give him the satisfaction of knowing that. I will sit here and stay. If he thinks that I'm going to apologise he has another thing coming. Why should I be the one to say sorry when he's the one that leaves me alone for months at a time. Sure I have abuela but she's old and I have to take care of her when it should be the other way around. I didn't mind though; I loved my abuela with all my heart but it felt as though I was completely alone. Counting my friends was easy as I could fit them all into one hand! I had snowy, gumdrop and sprinkles. Yeah...my only friends are teddy bears. It's not my fault! I had plenty of friends before I took online school. They were great until they liked MagCon, after that all they ever did was use me.

I heard a knock on the door and soon after a riot. What was happening in my house?!
"JADE THEY'RE HERE!" My dad yelled. Oh wonderful, Satan's spawn had arrived. I should go and introduce myself but I was told not to leave until I wanted to apologise. I do NOT want to do that. I sat in silence for a while and thought it was clear. Maybe they realised that I want nothing to do with them and I would leave them alone. Apparently they aren't smart enough to think about that because two seconds later I heard loud footsteps come bouncing up the stairs. 'Please just go past. Pleaseeeeee just go past' i wished. Nope. That didn't happen.
"Jade get out here now." My father commanded. Did he really think that because they were here I would act differently and actually listen him? Hah he thought wrong. I remained silent.
"Jade they really want to meet you." He said. You could practically hear the anger and frustration in his voice. I could picture him right now, his foot tapping impatiently, his face the colour of a tomato and a single vein sticking out from his neck. Once again I remained silent.
"JADE GET OUT HERE NOW!" He shouted.
"No." I said calmly
"No? What do you mean no?" He asked angrily
"No. a negative used to express dissent, denial, or refusal, as in response to a question or request. The concept is easy to grasp if you think about it but don't hurt yourself. I know it's a challenge for you." I stated. This earned a chuckle from the guys. I heard my father grumble and pound his fist on the door.
"I'll ask you one more time. Come out of that room." He said.
"This wasn't a question." I spoke.
"God dammit just come out already!" He said. I huffed and walked over to it where I was faced with an angry Dad and several good looking boys. My dad was giving me a disapproving look whereas the boys were either trying not to laugh or they didn't take their gaze off me. What's their problem? I walked past them and headed straight for the kitchen. I'm starving! I haven't eaten in forever. I grabbed some nutella, bananas and pancake mixture. I quickly made the pancakes before covering them in a thick layer of Nutella and bananas. I was eating them like there was no tomorrow until I saw a figure in the doorway. He was tall and round my age. He had the softest looking brown hair that was styled into a perfect quiff and the most gorgeous eyes. I didn't care though. He along with his friends ruined my life.
"What do you want?" I snapped. He didn't looked shocked instead be laughed. Was this guy insane?
"Temper temper." He said with a cheeky grin. Was this guy asking me to punch him. "I was going to ask for some of your pancakes. Surely somebody like you couldn't possibly finish them all off alone." He stated.
"Is that a challenge?" I asked. "£10 says I will." He studied me for a second.
"You're on."

6 minutes and a whole bunch of jokes and food fight later I won the bet. I'd just eaten fourteen Nutella and banana pancakes and did I regret it? No. He stared at me with wide eyes and handed me the money.
"B-but how?" He asked, eyes bulging out of his head.
"Because this was the first time I've eaten in two days." I said flatly.
"How come?" He asked worriedly.
"Because my fathers a dick." I stated.
"HE DIDN'T FEED YOU?!" He yelled.
"It's not that, I just didn't feel like facing him." I said. He visibly relaxed knowing that I was safe in the presence of my father.
"I'm Hunter by the way." He said.
"And I don't care." I stated. He looked at me hurt and tears started building up. I cracked out laughing when I realised that he thought that I was joking.
"Your face was priceless!" I giggled.
"So you were joking?!" He asked. I nodded before laughing again.
"Of course I care. Your the only real friend I have." I told him truthfully.
"I can't be your only friend!" He said in disbelief. "How?"
"Another time." I promised. I would eventually tell him why but for now I wanted to keep this friendship for as long as possible. Maybe it would be more than a friendship someday....just maybe.
