Bad choice

*Daniel's POV*

I heard my phone ping and I looked to see that Jade had made a tweet.

@YoGuysItsJade: I wish he knew.

He? Who's he? Well whoever he is I hate him already. She probably has a boyfriend already. Why wouldn't she? She's gorgeous, talented, funny and more intelligent than the rest of us. Who wouldn't want to date her? But why wouldn't she tell us? Why would she want to keep this a secret from us? Was she scared of him? I walked out of the living room and headed straight up to Hunter. I knocked on the door and he opened it. Oh. My. God. What has he done?! I looked at him and his hair was a mess, he was only in boxers and his shirt was backwards. His room wasn't much better: clothes were scattered everywhere and it looked like a pig sty.
"Bro what have you done?!" I asked shocked. He just looked at the ground and his fists began to shake.
"I can't do this! I'm cancelling the date!" He said out of frustration. I knew he didn't want that and I wasn't going to let it happen. I grabbed him by the shirt and kept him in the room.
"You can't do what? And you're not cancelling the date." I said.
"I can't do anything! I can't find the right hair products or the right outfit! Daniel I want this date to be perfect and its tomorrow! This is my one chance with Abi and I don't want to mess it up. I really like her. And I mean REALLY like her. Bro I know that we're only young but I think she might be the one. Whenever I'm around her my heart beat increases, I get tongue tied and-"
"It's like she's the only thing in the world that matters. It's like she's the reason that you live and if she vanished then it's like a part of you will too." I cut him off. I knew the feeling but it wasn't towards Abi.
"Yeah. It's exactly like that. I just, I just want this to be perfect y'know?" He asked. I nodded and scanned the room. I picked up a blue button up, brown khakis and some black vans.
"Here." I said handing the clothes to him. "This is your outfit." I said before standing up to leave.
"Oh and Daniel." He said. I turned around and waited for him to continue.
"Go and get her." He said. He saw the confusion in my face and smiled. "Jade. We all know that you like her." He smiled. I blushed and walked out of the room before he noticed. But I couldn't, could I?

-Next Day-

*Jade's POV*

I woke up and looked at the clock. 8:46am. Wayyyyyy to early but today is the day that I get my cast off! I walked into the bathroom and brushed my teeth before washing my face. I walked out and went to choose my outfit. Well, might as well dress comfy and then get some proper clothes. After all, I need to impress Daniel. Wait. Did I just say that? Okay I don't like Daniel. I can't. I chose some black sweatpants and MAGCON hoodie before slipping on my converse and headed downstairs.
"Morning dad." I said before going over to him and kissing him on the cheek.
"Good morning sweetheart." He said as he plated up some pancakes. I smiled gratefully and began to devour the fluffy goodness. Mmmmm.
"You exited for today?" He asked.
"Mmmywhnwidcoess." I mumbled through a mouthful of food.
"I'll take that as a yes." He chuckled. We sat in a comfortable silence until we had both finished our breakfast. I put my plate in the dishwasher and washed my hands.
"I'm sorry honey, I can't stay for your cast. I've been called into an emergency meeting but I can still drop you off. I'm sorry." He apologised. Great.
"No it's fine Dad I get it, honestly. Is everything okay?" I questioned.
"Yeah we just need to sort a few things out." He told me. I nodded and headed upstairs to wash my teeth and grab my bag. On my way back I bumped into a hard wall. Wait, there's no wall here.
"Oh my gosh Jade I'm so sorry! I didn't see you there!" A male voice said. I looked up and was faced with Daniel. His face was full of concern and he looked so guilty.
"No it's my fault; I wasn't watching where I was going. I'm sorry!" I apologised. He shook his head and lifted me up before gently placing me on the ground.
"Hey where are you going?" He questioned. I smiled up at him and excitement filled my face.
"I get my cast off today!" I exclaimed "I'm kinda scared though, I have to go in alone." I said. Suddenly his face lit up like a Christmas tree.
"Can I come? Y'know so you don't have to go in alone?" He asked. I nodded before heading downstairs. I waited by the door and shouted to my dad that Daniel was coming.

-At hospital-

Daniel and I walked through the doors and headed to the front desk.
"Hi! How can I help you?" A sweet old lady asked me.
"Hey! I'm Jade Bordelon and I'm scheduled to get my cast removed today." I told her whilst flashing a smile.
"Okay, if you would just take a seat over there and the doctor will call you in." She said before smiling. I gave a small thanks and walked over to the area. I sat next to a girl who looked around my age. She had long ombré hair and stunning hazel eyes. She wore some spandex shorts and some type of grey sports hoodie. I looked closely at her right arm and saw a pink cast sticking out.
"God I hate casts! You can never find an outfit to match!" I said to her. She giggled and nodded in agreement.
"I know right! And you also can NEVER shower right, you end up doing some sort of dance to keep it from getting wet!" She said adding emphasis onto the word 'never'.
"I'm Jade." I said before holding my hand out for a fist bump because I'm classy like that. She went for the fist bump and then introduced herself.
"I'm Liv. It's nice to meet you, and your boyfriend." She said before smiling at Daniel. We both looked at each other and quickly looked away. My face felt hot and I knew that my face was the colour of a tomato.
"Oh-uh-were. N not tog-gether." I stammered. She let out a small chuckle before slouching back in her seat.
"Yeah I'll believe that when pigs fly." She retorted. Quickly I changed the subject whilst Daniel engrossed himself on his phone.
"How did you break your arm?" I asked.
"I was at baseball practise and I fell rather awkwardly." She said. "How about you?"
"I fell down a flight of stairs." I said casually.
"I take it your a bit clumsy then?" She giggled. I nodded in agreement before looking at my lap. Did she really believe that I had a chance with Daniel?!
"Pass me your phone." She said. I was hesitant but handed it over. Within a few seconds she handed it back to me and I saw that she put her number in there. I smiled and sent her a text so that she had my number.
"Hey I have to go but one last thing." She said before bending down. "Daniel hasn't stopped staring at you this entire time." She whispered before giving me a wink. She walked away and gave me one last glance.
"Jade Bordelon." The doctor said. I stood up and followed Daniel into the small white room. I sat on the table so that the doctor could remove my cast and waited.
"I'm Dr Raken and I will be removing your cast today." He said before pulling out a giant torture machine.
"Not with that you're not!" I said panicking. There was no way in hell he was coming near me with that!
"Excuse me?"
"You're excused. You are not to take a step closer with that revolving blade that was clearly made by the devil himself! Now mr-I-torture-kids-as-a-living-and-enjoy-it I'm walking out of here before you murder me!" I said. He took a step closer to me with the blade of death. Bad choice. I looked around the room and saw a bottle of hand lotion that had a pump on it. Perfect.
"Move one step closer and I shoot!" I threatened. He of course took no notice and I had no choice but to shoot. Soon enough hand lotion was flying everywhere and I was the cause of it.
"MISS BORDELON WOULD YOU STOP?" He screamed.
"NO I WONT." I screamed back louder.
"Listen it won't hurt I promise! Please just trust me." He said trying to calm me down.
"You aren't touching me!" I spoke. I felt a hand on my shoulder and I felt sparks. Daniel. I immediately relaxed under his touch.
"Jade please do this. If not for you then for me. Please calm down." He said looking deeply into my eyes. He smiled at me and led me over to the table. I sat down and began to panic again. Daniel noticed and instinctively grabbed my hand. We both blushed and the doctor stepped forwards.
"Ready?" He asked me. I nodded and he came closer.
"WAIT!" I screamed.
"What's wrong princess?" Daniel asked worriedly.
"Will you please sing for me?" I asked knowing that it would make me feel better. He chucked and began to sing 'Photograph' by Ed Sheeran. Between his nickname for me, the hand holding and his angelic voice I completely forgot what was going on around me. Daniel finished his song and started into my eyes. He never let go of my hand for the whole time but I wasn't complaining.
"And we're done." Said the doctor. I smiled at him and looked at my cast free leg.
"Now I want you to take it steady but you should be good to go." He told me before leaving the room. I stood up shakily but soon regained my balance. I walked behind the curtains and changed into my outfit (outfit above) and walked back out to Daniel. He smiled and looked me over before holding out his hand.
"Ready to go princess?" He asked. My breathing stopped and I tried not to scream. I walked over and took his hand in mine before walking out of the building. Maybe I did have a chance after all.
