I took my seat next to Daniel at the table and for some reason this made the boys giggle. Abi not so subtly kicked them under the table and gave them a death glare.
"So...." I trailed off awkwardly.
"So...." Abi continued.
"So Jade." Brandon started. "We need to know more about you. We already know about Abi because we met her when you were sleeping but tell us about yourself."
"Uh okay, what do you want to know?" I asked.
"You're hobbies, interests and all that stuff." He shrugged. The boys looked at me waiting and I felt slightly uncomfortable. Daniel grabbed my hand under the table and gave it a small squeeze causing us both to blush slightly.
"My full name is Jade Olivia Bordelon and I'm thirteen years old. My birthday is May 17th. I like dancing, singing and I play guitar and the piano. I speak fluent Spanish and I already passed my GCSE's and hold a 4.0 GPA. Apparently I'm a 'prodigy of brilliance' but I still have time to find a job. OH AND I get my cast off tomorrow." I said smiling. I was so exited to get this thing off me. I looked up and they were all starting at me with their mouths wide open.
"Are you serious?" Tay asked.
"Oh she is." My dad said coming in with a large bowl of pasta. "She gets it from her mother." He said with both pride and sadness. I gave him a small smile and looked down.
"If you don't mind me asking, where is your mom?" Asked Dylan. My dad gave me a small smile and nodded.
"My moms in heaven." I said with a smile. "She passed away when I was 7 due to a car incident. It was icy and a trucker crashed into her. She was fine but had to remain in hospital. For months she insisted that she was okay  until one day...one day she passed away  in her sleep. It was the most peaceful way for her to go but it doesn't make it any easier. I miss her everyday but there's nothing we can do about it. Y'know she used to take me down to the beach every Saturday and we'd build sandcastles and I'd always be the princess and she the queen. It was our own little world where everything was perfect and normal. It was like she was a superhero who would always save me from the bad guys even if they were always made up. My mom was sort of my best friend. I know that to some people it may seem stupid but not to me. I'm proud that she was my best friend and still is." I finished. Tears were roaming freely down my face and I looked up. Everybody was crying but my dad had never looked prouder. He mouthed I love you and I said it back.
"I'm sorry, you guys probably didn't want to hear that with it being our first meal together but...yeah. Sorry."
"No please don't apologise, it was so beautiful boo." Abi said. I smiled and she returned the look.
"So, you said you dance." Aaron started changing the subject into something more upbeat "What type of dancing do you do?" He asked.
"I do lyrical, contemporary , hip-hop, jazz, acro, musical theatre, Irish and basically every form." I giggled "but my favourite is lyrical."
"Do you have something that we could see?" Asked Jacob.
"Uhhh....pftttt...nooooo." I lied.
"I do!" My dad said before popping in the disc into the T.V. Really? I didn't want them to see me dance; it's so embarrassing! The video began to play and everyone fell silent (video above). After it finished all eyes were on me once again. Oh dear.
"But-and then you- you spin- HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE?!" Screamed Hunter.
"I don't know!" I giggled "But if you think I'm good then you should see Abi." I said giving her a slight wink that none of the boys caught.
"You'll have to show me sometime." He said softly gazing into her brown orbs.
"Okay." She responded blushing. I took this as my opportunity to sneak away as I had finished. I hopped to the kitchen whilst everyone was still involved in the #Habi moment. I put my dirty dishes in the dishwasher and made myself a glass of orange juice.
"Hey." I heard from behind me. I turned around and saw Daniel. His hair was styled into a perfect quiff and his eyes shone brightly. He wore a red hoodie and dark jeans with white vans. White vans. I can't help it.
"DAMNNNMMM DANIEL! Back at again with the white vans." I quoted. He gave me a look and I drew an imaginary halo around my head.
"How are you feeling after, you know." He asked delicately. My smile faded as I started to tear up.
"I'm okay." I croaked. He looked at me before embracing me in a hug. He was much taller than me so my head lay on his chest. I stood listening to his steady heartbeat and silently sobbed.
"Listen," he whispered "I'm always here for you no matter what. You're a strong and truly amazing person both academically and emotionally, not to mention that you're not half bad at dancing." He joked which made me laugh a little. "I've never met anybody like you. You're so special to me and the boys and we love you no matter what okay?" He finished. I looked up at him and smiled before hugging him again.
"Thank you." I whispered. He didn't reply but he didn't need to. I knew what he was saying and he knew too. It was like we had an unbreakable invisible connection that nobody can break and it feels amazing. This feels amazing. I really liked Daniel. I just wish he liked me back.

A/N Hey guys it's Jade! The dancer in the video is Sofia Lucia and she is amazing 😍 also can you just imagine if you actually had a moment like that with one of the boys?! I think I'd die. Also I'm English so I don't know if Americans have GCSE's but it's practically a big test thing that gives you your grades so you can get a job but I put in a GPA for you. I love you all 💙💙💙
