Being Bart's Daughter

Ice cream

We ended up going for ice cream which I certainly wasn't complaining about.
"I'll order for us all." Dylan said. We all told him out orders and I went for cookie dough. I grabbed my phone and sent a quick text to Abi saying that the boys and I were out and that I left some money for them to order food. I locked my phone and looked up to the boys who were looking at me amazed.
"What?" I asked.
"You type really really fast." Cameron said before shrugging it off. I giggled and shook my head.
"Hey, when do you go back to school?" Weston asked me.
"I don't go to school. I already passed my exams with a 4.0 average. I'm a prodigy apparently. There's 24 of us in the country who no longer have to attend as there is nothing left for them to teach us." I said.
"So, you're like really smart?" He asked
"Well that would be the point of that story." I told him with a chuckle.
"Do you tutor people? I sorta need the extra help with my chemistry." He said. I nodded and told him that I would tutor him.
"Does anybody else need help?" I asked. Slowly, everyone raised their hands.
"Okay so I'll be your teacher for everything. You guys do online school, right?" I asked. They nodded their heads and we decided that I would be their teacher when their online classes began again. Dylan walked back over with a tray full of our ice creams. We each got our tub and thanked him.
"I really want a tattoo." Cameron said out of the blue. We all looked at him and he shrugged his shoulders.
"Why? You do know that their kind of permanent don't you?" Jacob asked.
"Well I'm not an idiot Jacob." Cam sassed. Just then Aaron started giggling uncontrollably and we all looked at him.
"Tattoo is a funny word." He said before repeating it whilst imitating an owl.
"It's Haitian I think. It means 'to leave a mark' however it can also translate to 'open wound'." I informed the boys. They all looked at me and smiled. "But you really should consider what you're going to get before you do something you'll regret."
"Yeah I probably should. Anyways, what ice cream did you get?" Cam asked me.
"Cookie dough, do you want some?" I offered. He smiled like a 4 year old and took it before eating a big bite.
"Yours is so much nicer than mine! Can we swap? PLEASEEEEE?" He screamed. I noticed that he had chocolate.
"Pass me yours." I instructed. He did as he was told and I took half of his and placed it into my tub and then I took half of my cookie dough and put it into his.
"There." I said as I handed it back. He took a mouthful of the two I've cream and smiled.
"Thusnansgiiss." He said with a ice cream starting to dribble down his mouth.
"Your welcome." I chuckled. Just then a little girl no older than six ran up to me with a cheesy smile.
"You're Jade! I love you so much!" She exclaimed before bursting out into a puddle of tears. I stood up and embraced her into a large hug whilst stroking her hair.
"Hey sweetie! Do you want to know something?" I asked her. She looked at me and nodded vigorously whilst showing her smile. "I love you so much more." I said. Her baby blue eyes lit up and her chestnut brown hair bounced as she jumped up and down. I didn't know where she knew me from but I didn't really care.
"Someday I want to be able to dance just like you!" She told me. Oh! She must have seen one of the videos of me.
"Why would you want to dance like me? You see, I have a superpower that can let me see into the future and you will become a much better dancer than me! I want to be able do dance like you." I told her with a smile. She opened her mouth but then a lady in her mid 30's came up to us.
"Lucy! Don't run off like that!" She said to her daughter. She had a gentle voice and a very welcoming presence. "I'm so sorry about her! I hope she didn't cause you any trouble." She said to me with a smile.
"No no! Not at all. Your daughter is such a sweet girl. In fact, she is going to be a famous dancer one day!" I spoke looking at Lucy for the last part. Her mother smiled proudly at her daughter and then chuckled.
"Is that so?" She asked her daughter. Lucy beamed up at her and nodded.
"Jade has superpowers! She told me that she can see it in my future!" Her mother looked up at me shocked.
"Jade? As in Jade Bordelon?" She asked and I nodded in reply. "Oh it's such a pleasure to meet you! Lucy here never stops talking about you! You are such an inspiration to her." She told me. My heart melted at the thought of me being able to help somebody.
"The pleasure is all mine! And no, thank you! I never realised that something that I am so passionate about can help and inspire others. But if you don't mind me asking, where did you find out about me?" I asked.
"Oh well dear, somebody posted a video of you dancing a few weeks ago on YouTube. (Video above) What was his name? It was Cameron something or other. Anyway the video went viral and had over 36 million views already! Then we started looking at other videos that your father posted and you are simply amazing! Please may I take a picture?" She asked sweetly.
"Of course!" I said. Lucy stood by my side and then jumped into my arms. I caught her with ease and we took several photos.
"Thankyou!" She said.
"No, thank you! It was an honour to meet you!" I told her. She gave me one last hug and then her and her mother walked away. I turned back around to the boys and sighed.
"Did that just happen?" I asked. They all nodded with big smiles on their faces.
"And it only gets better from here." Daniel said before flashing me that million dollar smile.
"Cameron did you post it?" I asked him. He nodded and I ran and hugged him. 36 million views! That is sooooo many! It all feels like a fairy tale and I never wanted it to end. I didn't want this day to end.
"Can we have a campfire tonight at the beach?" I asked Taylor. He nodded and I sent a quick text to Abi.

*Abi's POV*

I just received a text from Jade saying that we're having a campfire tonight!
"HUNTER!" I screamed. He ran into the room and fell over. Awh he's such a goofball.
"What happened? Baby girl are you okay?!" He asked with concern before picking me up and hugging me. I wrapped my legs around his waist and clung to him like a koalas.
"We're having a campfire tonight." I said whilst snuggling into him.
"Okay, I can't wait." He said before putting me down and winking. Just like that he walked away. So, bonfires are romantic and I need to look the part. I'll wait for Jade to come and help me. Also, there's something I needed to tell her. There's something we all need to tell her but I just don't know when.
