I woke up with Tigerlily curled into my belly. I licked her ear and it twitched, I grinned then stood up. "I'm going to make the strongest Clan, but first Sleetstorm is going to pay. I'm not as kind as Eve."
Tigerlily lifted her head and looked at me with a yawn, "Morning."
I chuckled and nudged her to her paws, "Won't your Clanmates notice that you're gone?"
Tigerlily shot up, "Mouse dung I forgot, Lionfur is going to kill me. You better get back to your Clan to they need-" she started coughing.
I frowned and pressed my ear up to her chest, "Your cough isn't getting any better."
"I know I'll be fine once I see Brindleleaf, thanks for mouse I hope I can see you again," she called running off.
"Don't overdo yourself!" I called after her. I know she heard me but she didn't look back, I rolled my eyes then started making my way down the slope. My trot broke into a run as I ran back to the Clan, "They're going to start noticing my absence."
I felt mud and water squish between my paws as I cut through the prairie. I saw Tails talking to Riki and Skars in the middle of he base. I smirked, "I can already here them begging for how he got two tails."
"I don't know, I was born with two tails." ,e meowed. "I called it!"
I stepped into camp and I got a welcoming purr from Tails, "Welcome back Lord Nightmare."
"Thanks, how are you liking it here?" I asked.
"I like it much better then that dusty old alley. The fresh air here is way better, we're grateful for your help," he purred flashing his two tails up and down.
"Is your rank working out for you? I know it's weird at first."
The grey tom nodded, "Shepherd and Virgil have taught us lots, it's fun. He told us about the others Clans and how we fight sometimes."
I grunted, "The other Clans are stargazing badger-hearts."
Tails looked behind him at the two kits who were chasing his tails. He flicked it up and down and in circles to tease them, "Well all cats seem bad until you get to know who they really are, remember that."
"I guess," I meowed with a yawn.
Ranger ran to my side, "Nightmare we have a problem, the scouts found a badger on our territory."
My eyes widened, "Get Lang, John, and Blue then lead me." I ordered. Ranger dipped his head then dashed off. Seconds later all four of my guards were gathered around me. "Lead the way."
Ranger pelted off towards the forest in the north that the gorge was in. "How many did they report?" I meowed.
"One huge one, about twice the size of us," my second in command reported. Him and Blue ran close together, "We will have a good use for the whelping den in no time."
"What's your strategy Nightmare?" Lang asked.
"We are going to drive them into the gorge. First go for their eyes and when they are scared we will chase them," I replied.
Ranger looked at me, "What if they don't run towards the gorge?"
"I'll think of something," I shrugged. "I think I see them up here!"
Tack was clawing at it and dodging its massive paw at the same time. We rushed to his aid with bristling fur. I leapt onto its back and dug my fangs and claws into it. The badger let out a yowl then started shaking, "I hate badgers, your kind took my mother from me."
