"Hmm...so that clears why he doesn't like me ?" I said giving a deep thought to Mrs Blaire previous words.

"Probably but first listen to me Maya then jump to any decision." She said in a serious tone. I nodded and she continued.

"It was Neil's 19th birthday when again he wasn't able to find his mate and was quite upset.We all were with him consoling him when rogue attack was declared.It was Logan's pack attack."

"Logan" Drew whispered.

"Yes" Mrs Blaire said.

"But you said rouge attack and as far as I know Logan is the alpha of Shadow Pack, if I am correct." She said not sounding sure.

"Lets dicuss it afterwards Drew." Mrs Blaire replied.

"So Maya back then their was a very powerful group of rogues Logan was their head. These rogues were mostly those who were abandoned by their packs or were born as rogues, Logan was leading them. They all went to council for permission to create their own pack and Logan as their Alpha but since this kind of thing was never done before council disapproved their proposal and asked them to dismantle themselves.
Rogues didn't liked that and as a result they challenged Council that they will attack strong packs of the world and will defeat them just to prove their strength and that they are worthy of status of a pack.

Council didn't took them seriously which was their biggest mistake. Few months after the meeting Logan started attacking different packs, he was very cruel and violent whoever came in his path was never left alive. He trained his pack quite well and they were fighting like pro.

We were preparing from very long time for their attack.We got help from council since we were the only strongest pack left alive so all eyes were on us only to save them. And the day finally came, it was 19 birthday of Neil when he took the charge of fight along with his father. We fought for so long many of our brave warriors died but even then we continued and a stage came when we were almost going to defeat them. Almost." Mrs Blaire stopped and looked at me I was holding my breathe to listen what happened next.

"Daniel was fighting with Logan and was about to rip his throat away when a she-wolf came in between and started pleading for Logan's life. We all stopped not because of her but because of the words that escaped Neil's mouth 'Mate'. She was Rose Neil's mate. She also looked surprised and was looking in between Logan and Neil. It didn't took us long to understand why she was taking his side Rose was Logan's girlfriend.

The fight stopped in between and it was decided that a discussion is required between both the parties. Seeing they were already loosing they agreed. Neil was utter silent he didn't know how to react, the girl for whom he was waiting for ages when finally appeared it was found out that she is already in love with someone else. He was completely heartbroken and hurt. But we knew that one can not neglect his mate bond over any other romantic relationship.

So it was decided that if Logan gives us Rose we will give him his and his pack freedom. Rose was against this, she was ready to neglect mate bond but not leave Logan. We all were shocked no one denies his mate bond so easily but after much persuasion from Logan she agreed." Mrs Blaire looked at me her eyes full of unshed tears.

I looked at Jacob and Ariel they both were sad and their eyes as well brimming with tears. Many thoughts were processing inside my mind. Why Rose reacted like that? Why she chose Logan over her mate Neil? Why this ? Why that? At last I asked Mrs Blaire same question

"Why Rose was choosing Logan, why not his mate?"

Before Mrs Blaire could answer Jacob started " We ourself never understood this.Why she was not going with her inner instincts and avoiding them? We were never convinced with her views. I think she was always confused and never understood herself what she wants from her life! Crazy woman she ruined my brother's life."
