Maya POV:

"What is going on Max, please tell me ! I am fed up of all these."

He smiled tiredly and it clenched my heart how much more they have to suffer because of me.

"You don't worry Maya..just be patient for some more time. We'll make everything fine. Okay ?"

"Patient...Patient.. I am being patient Max from last so many days. Isn't it obvious now for me to be irritated ?" I shouted.

He said nothing and kept on looking at me then slowly said shuffling my hair
"I know."

And with that he left. Well...this is happening from last 10 or 12 days I guess. It all started when we received those letters from him. Basically I am on house..no..room arrest. No work, no outing nothing. Sitting in my room and gaining weight.

I haven't seen Mikh from like ages. Where is he ? What is he upto ? I know both of them are worried about me, every now and then I can hear Council Members downstairs arguing. I know they are planning something but it would have been good if they include me in it instead of forcing me to sit like an outsider.

What puzzles me more is what happened to Alpha Neil ? He has disappeared like thin air. That day when he brought me home, after his departure Mikhail informed me that he told him everything about Damon. I didn't gather courage to ask him about his reaction but now after his disappearance its quite self explanatory. I smiled sarcastically to myself. I keep on pushing him away but even then I expects from him. What is wrong with me !?

Neil POV:

"Are you sure son ? Think once again." Dad asked eyeing me.

I looked at him then at my other family members they all looked lost and scared. Why they seem scared is beyond my understanding !

"Yes bro ! You have to be su-"

"No Jacob No..I am sure about this. What is wrong with you all ? Maya's life is in danger. Some crazy warlock Damon is after her and you guys are asking me if I am sure. I have never been this much sure about anything in my life." I yelled angrily on them.

From the moment I came to know about Damon I just want to boil him in hot oil. He wants to mate with my Maya just because her soul is connected to Lily's soul his true mate.

And he doesn't want her because he realized his mistake and importance of true love..no.. its because until and unless he'll not complete the mating process with his real mate he wont be able to inherit certain powers of his dark magic or whatever bullsh*t it is called. Ridiculous. In his case Lily is not alive, he now wants Maya in her place to fulfill his motive since Lily transferred her powers to Maya.This is the most disgusting thing I have ever heard. Who uses his mate like this ! He never once considered anything about his dead mate.

"Neil what you are trying to do is right thing I agree but the way...your way is wrong. I know Maya very well Neil she'll not -"

"Do you have any better solution to offer Drew..now...at the moment ?"

She lowered her eyes disappointedly.

"I guess so."

I looked at my family one last time and marched out of the room. Now I understand the reason of there fear...they are scared for Maya...my Maya. My own family don't trust me with my mate. When did I became such ruthless for them ?
