One Way Street

We must've fallen asleep last night, because I woke up the next morning around 5, with Steven's arms wrapped around me, and we were still in our clothes from yesterday. I looked over and saw Lauren and Scotty, asleep, softly cuddling with each other. I smiled, and laid my head back down, slowly drifting to sleep again.

When I woke up again, It was around 10:30. I saw Lauren and Scotty sitting on her bed whispering, when all of a sudden, Scotty leaned in and kissed her. I grinned, because I was so happy for her. I rolled over and yawned, closing my eyes for a moment. When I opened them back up, Steven was just waking up, and he smiled his sleepy smile at me. 

"I could never get tired of waking up to you, beautiful." He grinned his knee-weakening grin, and kissed me. 

"Taking my lines now, are we?" I chuckled and stretched, sitting up. I turned and saw Scotty and Lauren just kind of staring at us. "Don't worry, I didn't see anything that you didn't want me too." I whispered and winked at them. 

I rolled out of bed, and walked into the bathroom. I brushed my teeth, and washed my face. When I walked out of the bathroom, Steven was still lying on my bed, but he was talking to Scotty and Lauren about the competition.

"- Yeah I mean, you guys have nothing to worry about." He winked.

"Neither does Mia." Lauren grinned. "She's got one of the best voices I've ever heard."

"Why thank you, love." I smiled. "And speaking of love, not to make things awkward, but you guys are the cutest. Really just so adorable. Best couple I've ever seen." 

They both blushed and looked at each other then back to me.

"Nah, I think you and Steven have us beat." Scotty smiled, then turned to Lauren. "But we are pretty cute, aren't we?" 

I walked over to the bed, and sat down, as Steven wrapped his arms around me, and kissed my temple.

"Well, I don't think there's anything planned for the contestants today, considering we're cutting just about everyone, tonight." Steven said. "You guys basically have a free day to do whatever you want. We should double date."

"That's a great idea!" I grinned "Anything you guys want to do in particular?"

"Umm... I'm not sure. What's the date anyway?" Scotty asked

"It's Saturday, November 16th." I said, checking my phone. "Oh shit!" I yelled, jumping off the bed.

"What's wrong, Babe?" Steven asked, worried.

"It's November 16th! Beth is 6 months old today! I have to call Lauren!" I exclaimed, as I pulled back the sliding glass door that lead out to the little deck attatched to the hotel room. I dialed Lauren's number and waited for her to answer. 

"Hello?" It was Joe.

"Hey Joe!" Steven looked up at me. "It's Mia."

"Oh, hey Mia. How have you been? I haven't seen you since your birthday." He seemed kind of upset.

"I've been good, and yeah, it's been a while." I said. Steven was watching me, warily. "Well, yeah I was calling cause I know today, Beth is 6 months old, right? I haven't seen her in a while. Has she gotten big?" I asked

"Yeah, she's just as beautiful as her mother, now. She's got long brown curly hair, like me, and these gorgeous hazel-green eyes, like Lauren. She can finally walk. Short distances, nothing too extreme. and she's got talent. Very musically gifted. She drums little beats on everything she can touch. She hums alot too, or makes sounds that seem like humming." He chuckled. Something about Joe's voice made me choke up. I could tell how proud he was of her.
