Ain't That A Bitch

There's one month left in this season of American Idol, and there's 5 of us left.

This Friday, one person is going to be voted off, and then again on Saturday, when the top 3 is announced. I figured I should make this week's performance a little more fun, so people will really realize how much of a fun time I can be.

I was sitting on the couch in the mansion looking through my Itunes on my Mac, to pick a song, when I got the perfect Idea;

Joan Jett.

She's spunky and fun, and basically me wrapped in a nuttshell, or so I like to think.

though I loved the guitar tab used for the song I chose, I decided to stick to just singing this week, but I still packed up my Lucille and my Mac, and headed out to the studio.

I was on my way out when I ran into Lauren and Scotty, and one of the other contestants, Jared

"Hey, girl, where you headed out to? You should come hang out with us!" Lauren said

"Hey, sorry, I wish I could. I've gotta head out to the studio." I sighed and gave her a smile

"I swear you've spent more time there, than you have here, this entire competition." She giggled. "And anyway, It's only Sunday. We got the challenge litterally hours ago. Come take a break! You work so hard."

"And that's why I'm number one right now." I chuckled and said goodbye.

I grabbed my keys and walked out to my car.

I couldn't help but to think of what Lauren just said. Do I really over work? Is that what It'll be like if I win and get this record deal? I wouldn't be able to give Steven a family, and even if I could, I wouldn't ever be there for my kids, or him. I dismissed the thoughts and tried to focus on the road.

"Can you roll the track back?" I asked the helping producer. "I just wanna try that verse one more time."

I pulled the headphones back over my ears and the music played back.

Just as I began the first lines of the verse, the door to the sound room opened, and the judges walked into the room. I noticed and instantly stopped singing. Steven, Randy, and Jennifer stood before me, grinning.

"You know, It's incredibly rude to just barge into someones recording sesh." I teased

"You're not even supposed to be in here today, you workaholic." Steven chuckled. "You work too much, babe."

"Do I really? Cause Lauren said the exact same thing to me, and I know it's not a good thing." I sighed.

"Only some times, but look, Mia. We were gonna bring the boys in here cause we wanted to start the recording for the next album." He was hiding something, I could tell. I raised an eye brow, giving him a sign that I was onto him.

"Is that so?" I raised my eye brow just a bit higher, teasing him. "Well I don't mind. I'm just about done. If you guys could wait 5 minutes, then I can stay afterwards and see what you guys are working on." I smirked

"No! No-... uh. We're fine. We uh.. We actually need you to go back to the mansion and cook dinner." He stammered to make up a lie.

"Steven Tyler.... Are you implying that because I'm a woman, my place is in the kitchen?" I crossed my arms, and planted my feet on the ground.

"No! What?" He chuckled, realizing what he actually said. "I forgot to tell you that Randy and Jennifer wanted to come over for dinner, and I'm not as good of a cook as you, so I figured while I'm here, you can go home and get a head start, and I'll help you when I get back." He grinned
