"Let me Laugh Again" V Fanfiction

Chapter 18: Education!

V clutched the schedule in his hand nonchalantly but he was kind of nervous inside.

He came early - or at least tried to but thanks to his meddling members - he was late! He didn't have the time to admire the main entrance to his school, Korea National University of Arts. Last term, he decided to put off his college education, so that he can focus on the group activities; both locally and overseas.

 In the past 2 years, he hadn't even had a proper vacation but now he was going back to school.

It's not that he hates school but he just doesn't like the added responsibility. V was amazed at the mob that had gathered to welcome him back to school.

'Ugh - I hate the paparazzi - to death!!' he cursed in his mind. It was a nosy reporter who started everything in the first place. He did so by checking up on the school's alumna an found out that V was still technically a student but hadn't bothered showing up to classes.

The company was alarmed from all the hate comments and bashing so they talked and planned about how to salvage the situation and V ended up having to be the sacrificial lamb. But when he got out of the van, he was thankful for his manager, Mr. Go who accompanied him inside.

The paparazzi was out in full force - 'Wow! They'd go through all this - just to bring me down, huh?' he thought. Still, he waved to his fans, and bowed a lot. He wore a mask over his face but his fans felt him smile against it. The paparazzi can't help attacking V because the Bangtan Boys were very famous already and their popularity is only ever increasing - which makes him a perfect target for tabloid fodder. He was still waving even while going inside.

Min-ji stood parked her brother's car quickly and grabbed her backpack from the passenger seat. She tried to ignore the appreciative looks that people gave her car - 'I mean Min-kyu's car!' She clutched her enrollment form on one hand while the other was on the bag strap that she slung over one shoulder.

 Since it was her first day in school, she decided to look decent. She smiled when she remembered making an effort, once before when Taehyung asked her out on a date. 'Taehyung...how are you, I wonder?' she thought as she smiled to herself. Min-ji wore skinny jeans with a thick cotton t-shirt underneath a warm jacket.

It was still the fall but the weather could get nippy so she wanted to be prepared. She headed straight to the Automotive Engineering Department and was glad that the people there were efficient. She was done in no time, all she had to do was to wait for her first class at 9:00. She just sighed. She hates waking up early but there's no going back now.

Min-ji stopped in the middle of the entrance hall and just soaked up the view. Kookmin University was quite impressive. She specifically picked this university because their Automotive engineering students were registered with the FSAE and she really wanted to beat her brother in that are too.

Min-kyu's resume also boasted of having won the FSAE Competition when he was a student at Brown. She wanted to go to Brown University too, but her dad put his foot down. They didn't want her to study so far away. 'Ugh, is it because I'm a girl again, daddy?' she shed angry tears as she walked away from him.

Min-ji sighed again, "Great! Why did that sod have to be my brother?" She grumbled all the way to her class. But she loves a challenge and so she decided, she had to win at FSAE too. 'Now if only I won't be paired with idiots...' she grimaced and pushed that thought away.
