Min-ji didn't feel like the college student that she was supposed to be.
Instead, she thought of being the dead chicken that's being fed to the alligators. She sighed all throughout breakfast. Her older brother, 'annoying sod' her mouth turned down into a frown, didn't even bother to come down and see her off.
It was just her mom, Mi-young, and herself. She didn't talk to her mother and neither did Mi-young even acknowledge her except to say. "You'd better hurry. You're running late..." and went back to sipping her tea.Min-ji glared daggers at her mother but she didn't even look up once. She shoved all the food into her mouth, trying to catch her mom's attention but Mi-young never budged.
Min-ji finally gave up and grabbed her things. She said goodbye but didn't look back at her mother, 'If it's a fight she's looking for - then it's a fight I'm going to give her!!!' she thought angrily. She walked wearily to the door and shuddered at the thought of being chauffeured to school.
'I'm ruined!!! My life is over!!! I miss my car!!!' she was so busy talking to herself that she didn't notice her brother's car being driven up the driveway."Miss Min-ji, your car miss..." the driver bowed and stepped to the side.
"What?!" she screeched.
"Your dad finally agreed to let you drive so he asked Min-kyu agreed so...but you must be careful, this might be your last chance young lady..." Mi-young said while she magically appeared at the front door.
Min-ji heard her mother's voice and took her words to heart.
Everything and anything about cars, she takes seriously, but apart from that she tends to get bored and careless. So she vowed to take care of her brother's car. 'Sweet! I'm so going to rock this semester!!!!' she laughed to herself. She admired the sleek lines on the red Maserati Granturismo 2013.
She almost didn't want to touch it, in fear of scratching it. "Mom, why did Min-kyu let me borrow his car?" she asked, surprised."So that you won't be labeled a loser my little Georgie!" Min-kyu also magically appeared at the door beside his mother.
Min-ji didn't care if she was going to be labeled as a kid again. She ran to her brother and hugged him close. He caught her as if she didn't weigh anything and was crushed into a bear hug. "I know, I know. I love you too- oomph!!" he exclaimed.
Min-ji elbowed him in the ribs "That's for calling me a loser!" she said.Mi-young and Min-kyu laughed but Min-ji was not amused. "I'll go now. I'm late..." she said, hurrying to open the driver's door. She forgot all about her anger at Mi-young and Min-kyu once she was seated on the driver's seat. She turned the engine on and drove away, but not before waving goodbye to her family on the driveway.
"How long do you think can she last before whining again?" Mi-young asked her oldest son.
"I don't know. But I feel that she's going to grow up pretty soon..." he commented mysteriously.
"You're right. That girl needs to grow up now. She's still a huge baby!" her mother exclaimed.
'What will I do with you, my Georgina?' Mi-young worried.
