"Let me Laugh Again" V Fanfiction

Chapter 29: Where are you?

Min-ji opened her eyes slowly because the bright lights were harsh to her eyes.

She sat up slowly and groaned when every bone in her body screamed in pain.

      She looked around the hospital room and noticed the many beautiful floral arrangements in all shapes and sizes. Most of these she didn't even know who they're from but she found her school's racing club name and she smiled. 

      Of course her best friend has visited and her close family friends - even her brother's friends, so she was content. But when she looked for Taehyung's flowers and didn't find any, she was disappointed.

'Taehyung...I thought we had-...I wished you could have come and seen me...' she felt lonely and suddenly she curled up onto her side, ignoring the pain. She cried into the pillow because now that she'd had the time to reflect on her heart's desires - she realized that she had deep feelings for Taehyung. In the short span of time that they'd spent together he was the only one to make her laugh again.

 And Min-ji just knew that he was the only one who could save her.

'Taehyung, where are you?' she wondered.

      V was transported back to his days in high school when he was truly, madly, deeply in love with Soo-jin. He would have done anything for her back then and now that he's found her again - he promised not to let her go. He was chatting with her outside the infirmary while waiting for the nurse and he found out that she was easy to get along with.

"When did you move to Seoul?" V asked.

"Oh - just a couple of months ago..." she said softly and looked away.

"Why, what's wrong?" V asked, worried.

Soo-jin smiled a gorgeous smile at V and his heart stopped for a bit.

"Uhm it's a bit of a long story..." she said.

      V  forgot that he was supposed to go and see Min-ji at the hospital because he said, "I've got time..."  "I-" Soo-jin started to say but the nurse had called for her already. "Oh - I'm sorry. I've got to go, see you around Taehyung..." she said regretfully.

      V stood slowly and watched her go. He turned to go home when his phone rang. "Hello?" he answered. "Uh Taehyung-ie I've been waiting in the parking since 30 minutes ago. Are you coming yet?" Myungsoo called him.

     'Oh god!!!' thought V. He ran once again to the parking lot and scrambled onto he van. So sorry, Myungsoo... Let's go!" he said. Myungsoo faithfully nodded at him and drove to the hospital, 'Min-ji - are you okay now?'  he was still worried.

     Min-ji couldn't believe how emotional she was after finding out that Taehyung had not visited. Her mom also voiced her surprise at Taehyung's no-show. "I thought he said he was coming , dear. Maybe he just got busy..."
