Chapter 13: The 'C" Word

V woke up to a wildly vibrating phone. He was dead tired. And he was bothered by weird dreams. He shook his head awake and answered the phone. 

 "Hello?" he said. "Taehyung, please meet me at the office before 9 a.m. Today. Sorry for the short notice" Mr. Go said. "Wait-" he tried to say but Mr. Go already ended the call.

He got up and stretched and then splashed water onto his face in the bathroom. He checked the time and he yelped when he saw that it was already 8:30. 'Man, I'm not this lazy...' he thought but his movements were too slow. So he showered without the hot water. That woke him up. He dressed hurriedly and went past the other members in the common room, getting ready for breakfast. He zipped past them without even saying goodbye, but he nodded to them briefly and then whizzed through the door.

 "Doesn't this scene seem familiar to you-" "Don't even say it..." Jungkook stopped Suga from finishing his sentence but he was grinning from ear to ear. All the members shared a laugh.
But they had no idea what was in store for V.

Min-ji's muscles were killing her. She was still in bed even though it was already 9 a.m. Then she remembered all the sprinting with Taehyung yesterday and sighed. 'Right, that's why I'm sore...' and then she sat up to get into the shower but not before Min-kyu suddenly attacked her with his tickling/punching combo.
She exclaimed in surprised and fought back. She kicked him in the chest and when he went down she shoved his face onto the pillow. He twisted quickly so that she fell on the floor and then sent pillow bombs flying. She ducked and grabbed a hairbrush and threw it at him. He expertly deflected it and it hit the door-

"What are you two doing?"

"Mom?!" they exclaimed at the same time.

"I thought, your teenage years ended a long time ago..." Mi-young sighed.

Min-kyu magically appeared at her side and hugged her, " Oh no mom, we're just bonding, right little prat-" "Old git-"

"Alright, alright...let's go down already...Min-kyu... I expressly said to call your sister, not start World War III..." their mother said.

"She started it-" "He started it-" and this time Mi-young didn't hold back rolling her eyes.

Min-ji enjoyed having breakfast with her mom. Well, her older brother was there too, but 'lets' not think about negative thoughts today...' she breathed. She ignored him but he kept teasing her.

In truth, she knows that Min-kyu loves her and would die for her but mostly he absolutely enjoys annoying her. She shoved a forkful of eggs into her mouth when Mi-young said, "About college Min-ji...what are you planning for this term?"

Min-ji choked on her eggs.
