Random Headcanons: Ponyboy

•Ponyboy loves cranberries. Seriously, he adores them. Darry will give him his monthly allowance, and Ponyboy will literally spend it all on buying bags of cranberries. He'll just sit on the couch reading a book and munching on a whole bag. Sodapop just shakes his head while smiling and mumbles, "Oh Ponyboy." Darry wrinkles his nose and asks, "How could you eat those things? They're sour as all git out." And Ponyboy looks up at him sassily and responds with, "Darry, I'm eating a bag of them as we speak. I think I would know that they're sour as all git out. I like them."

•Ponyboy doesn't really like drinking water. Sure, he would if there was nothing else, but if he had a choice, he'd choose to drink juice or soda instead.

•Ponyboy loves the letter X. He plans to name his kids names that start with X, like Xena or Xavier. When he's really bored at school with no inspiration to draw, he'll just randomly doodle X's.

•Ponyboy hates shorts. Whenever he wears them, he feels like his legs are naked.

•Ponyboy loves the smell of pine. He loves Christmas time because of the tree. The first cologne he buys is pine scented.

•Whenever he has a nightmare and wakes up in the middle of the night, Ponyboy becomes really jumpy.
"Sodapop? What was that!?!"
"That was a squirrel outside, Ponyboy."
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah, Pony. I'm sure."
"Okay."
. . .
"But what was that? That weird screech-y noise?"
"That's a branch scratching on the window, Ponyboy."
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah, Pony. I'm sure."
"Okay."
. . .
"But are you sure?"

•Ponyboy can't sleep if there's any rhythmic noise. Whether it's someone snoring, or water dripping, he could stay up all night if there's even the faintest rhythm.
Unfortunately, Darry snores. Not loudly, but loud enough for Ponyboy to hear it. Ponyboy will instantly wake up, get out of bed, walk to Darry's room, and stare at him until he wakes up. When Darry finally wakes up and sees Ponyboy standing over him, he freaks out. Ponyboy tells him calmly, "You were snoring. I advise you to turn over, please." and walks back to his room.
If Ponyboy's too tired or scared to walk to Darry's room, he'll yell the same thing, or if he's cranky and in a bad mood, he'll yell, "DARRY! YOU'RE SNORING! I ADVISE YOU TO TURN OVER SO THE REST OF US CAN GET SOME SLEEP! SHUT UP!" Sodapop falls out of bed he laughs so hard. None of them mention any of this is the morning.

• Ponyboy hates when he cries. It makes him feel weak.
Unfortunately for him, he's really emotional.
For example, the gang will be watching a nature documentary:
Narrator-Unfortunately, the little rabbit is too slow. The mountain lion chews it apart as a snack, as the rabbit squeaks it's last words...
Dally-Well that's too goddamn bad, little rabbit! Ain't that just how life works-Ponyboy, are you crying?
Ponyboy-Uh, *sniff* no. I'm just... *sniff* sweating through my eyes.

• Ponyboy fantasizes all the time. At school, at home, when going to sleep, when waking up in the morning, all the time. Sometimes he can't even respond to questions because he'll be fantasizing so much.

• Ponyboy loves architecture. It's his favorite hobby; to look at famous buildings and design new ones with different shapes.

This is random, but it was fun to write! I plan to do these with the rest of the characters too. Does anyone have any suggestions? If not, I'll do Sodapop by default, but does anyone want someone else? Just curious.
