Chapter 21 - Can You Pass

"What is it?" I whispered back to Kim.

"I'm actually really happy for you, and Marshall. I'm glad he moved on after a while. I'd like to be friends, not your enemy" Kim said back with a smile.

"I'm glad you said that, I was nervous that you weren't gonna like the idea that I'm dating your ex" I said nervously.

"No no I'm honestly happy for you guys, I haven't seen him this happy with a girl before. I mean it'll take some getting used to for the kids but as long as you guys are happy, we will all be a big happy family" Kim said before I pulled her into a hug.

"Thank you" I said smiling before we pulled away from the hug. Kim walked to the table, and sat with the kids. Marshall walked over to me, and pulled my into the kitchen.

"So how did that go? Friends?" Marshall asked me.

"Surprisingly yes we're going to be friends" I said with a smile.

"Good, oh one more person for you to meet" Marshall said walking me over to the door, where a guy stood that looked like a younger Marshall.

"Meghan this is my brother Nate, Nate this is my girlfriend Meghan" Marshall said introducing us.

"It's nice to finally meet the girl this guys going crazy over" Nate said chuckling, I looked over at Marshall, and started chuckling.

"It's nice to meet you too, I would say the same thing but he's not that crazy over you" I said laughing

"Really Marshall, damn I'm your brother" Nate said chuckling, there was a knock at the door, and I walked over to the door.

"Devon!" I said before I hugged him

"Wassup Meghan" Devon said before pulling away from the hug, and walking inside the house. Devon said hello to everyone, then pulled Marshall off to the side. Marshall, and Devon then walked up to me.

"We got a karaoke machine" Devon said pointing at the karaoke machine

"Okay?" I said confused

"Devon said you like karaoke, so me, and you go. Let's see who can get a bigger reaction from everybody" Marshall said.

"What's the catch?" I said chuckling.

"Nothing, I mean I just kinda wanna show off your rapping skills" Marshall said chuckling.

"Fine" I said.

"Okay" Marshall said before walking away to set it up, I walked over, and sat on the couch waiting for Marshall.

"Okay people, right now we're gonna do some karaoke. Meghan's gonna go first, then Marshall's gonna go after. After there both done you've gotta pick who did it best, and whoever wins that gotta feed us some food cause I'm pretty sure we're all hungry" Devon said before he handed me a mic, I rolled my eyes chuckling. I played hell breaks loose, and skipped to my favorite verse.

"Oh so you think you can rap that" Marshall said.

"Actually I do" I said with a smile the music started playing, and I went off.

"Now I know you're feeling discouraged but homie just mark my words

"Oh I will" Marshall said.

"I like what she did! Especially cause it was my verse" Dre said with a smile, and I laughed.

Just on this song alone, girl is on her fourth flow" Marshall rapped imitating how I sound in my song feeling myself, I couldn't help but laugh.

"Now who won that?" Devon said laughing, Devon then pointed at Marshall, and they all went berzerk.

"I'm done, I quit. Marshall you feed us some food" I said laughing.

"Yeah Marshall bring out the food" Bizarre yelled out. I went, and helped Marshall put all the food on the table. Marshall sat to the left of my mom, I sat next to Marshall, and Hailie was on my left. Hailie tapped on my arm, and I looked over to her.

"Yeah Hailie?" I said

"I'm gonna have to get used to you being around. You make my dad happy, and I'd like to thank you for that" Hailie said with a smile

"Aw, no problem sweetie. Let me tell you this, I was actually nervous about meeting you, and your sisters. I thought you guys would hate me" I said to Hailie

"No we don't hate you, actually Laney, and I were talking about how we like you for dad" Hailie said motioning towards her sister

"Phew thank god" I said chuckling a little, Marshall stood up from his chair with a knife in his hand.

"Shady man no don't massacre the fans" I said, and everyone started laughing.

"I won't okay" Marshall chuckled "let's serve this damn turkey" Marshall cut the turkey, and started serving.

"Mash potatoes, gravy, turkey, and them green beans. I ain't leaving till my plate clean. How about that for a thanksgiving freestyle" I said

"It needs some work" Bizarre said

"Ok I see how it is Bizarre" I said, we all sat down, and Bizarre was going to say something before we all ate.

"Okay big G, thank you for this food we have in front of us. Thank you for all the blessings you have given us, and for the blessings we are about to receive. Amen." Bizarre prayed, and we all began to eat.

"Denaun can you pass me the mash potatoes?" Marshall asked Denaun.

"I don't know, can you pass math" Denaun said chuckling.

"Get out my house, I swear to god we ain't doing that this year. Get up" Marshall said before bursting out laughing. I'm so happy, and thankful for everyone in this room. Especially Devon, if it wasn't for him I wouldn't of met Marshall, and be his girlfriend or even be signed to Shady. I love my second family.
