That does it.

I wasn't going to stay here any longer. They needed me.

All I was simply doing was lying around on the couch watching the strange shows that only appeared in the morning. No wonder that's when they air them when no one is watching TV.

I sipped some of the chocolate milk I had made and bit into a small piece of a cinnamon roll, but not even the wonderful taste could keep me occupied for a long time. I was going back to work whether anyone liked it or not. I did not need a day off just because of some small physical and verbal abuse from yesterday. I'm sure Andrea was more than stable. After all, it's not like I was going to talk to her again.

At least, not anytime soon.

Shutting off the TV, I unwrapped myself out of my Captain America blanket my brother had given me years ago for Christmas and folded it nicely on the couch. It didn't take me long to get ready for the morning surprisingly, because usually, it takes almost an eternity.

I suppose I was in such a hurry.

I did remember to text Chelsea that I was going to pick up my bridesmaid dress for her wedding which was fast approaching.

Valentines Day.

How romantic, right? That sounds just like her and her future Mr. Dallas. I loved teasing her about him, and she knew it; but after months and months of planning, I think she had finally made up her mind. Knowing her so well, she hated making decisions so all of us including Maggie and Ann made some for her. Jordan along with Chelsea was very supportive of our ideas so it made it seem as if we weren't completely controlling everything because that's the last thing we wanted to do. This was their wedding, not any of ours.

The cold air welcomed me as I exited my small apartment and walked towards the beloved car I have owned since I turned seventeen.

My blue Ford Mustang.

I always wanted one, and now I have one. It's not necessarily a very good winter car, especially in Iowa weather, but let's just hope I don't slide off the icy road. Well, better on my day off than if I didn't, not that I do want to slide off the road!

Once I reached work, I didn't know who was more surprised to see me when I walked inside the doors, me or anyone else that had heard the gossip from yesterday. I couldn't believe how fast it had spread with people I didn't even know or associate with, but when I headed up the second floor to my office, I saw Denise walking down the other end of the hall.

Oh great.

"Jennifer Claire. What on earth are you doing here?"

"Just got a little bored, that's all. I don't need two days off, you know?" I answered honestly, crossing my arms for emphasis.

"Well, you just didn't disobey Mr. Woods' order, you didn't follow your own friend's."

Was she trying to make me feel bad?

"But then, I guess, you were always a rebel or at least, seem like one."

I smiled, "Well, thanks--I guess."

"Yeah, anyway, since you're here now, you might want to hang low so no one else sees you like Mr. Woods for instance." She advised me.

"Well, I don't know how much longer that'll be. Everyone downstairs saw me, including his faithful front desk manager, Beth. Who knows, he might already know. You don't think he'd be mad, would you?"

"No, I don't think he would. Maybe."

She wasn't helping at all.

"Look sorry, just come with me to my office."
