The taste of blood filled my mouth, poisoning the sweet taste of her lips. She grinded against me, distracting me from the taste and turning it into pleasure.

A low growl bubbled up from her throat, and I felt a sharp pain across my chest as she dragged her nails across my bare skin. Quickly after that, I felt something hot run down my torso from where her nails had been. Still, she continued to kiss me. As she kissed down my jaw line, she started licking up my neck where a stabbing pain seared through where she had licked, quickly adding the feeling of a hot liquid pouring out.

I winced and pulled away from her only to widen my eyes in fear.

Her eyes were completely black, black veins popped out from under her now deathly pale skin, and her mouth was dripping with blood.

I glanced down to find that my chest had been ripped open and my neck had been cut, both pouring out blood.

She hissed, causing me to look back up at her to find her with sharp teeth and a tongue like a razor.

I blinked, only to find that, when I opened my eyes, she was back to normal with messy brown hair and green eyes filled with hurt and curiosity.

"Elijah?" She said quietly.

I couldn't figure out how to speak.

"What is it?"

I forced myself to at least try to say something. "I-I...um..."

Any words would help, Elijah. A woman said.

Go ahead; tell her you're insane. A man said. Tell her she just looked like a demon.

I still couldn't figure out what to say; I think I was still trying to figure out if that was real or not, even though I know it wasn't. She's fine now; it couldn't have been real, right?

"Elijah; what is it? What's wrong?"

"N-nothing," I said, finally.

"Come on; it can't be that bad."

It kind of is, actually. I thought.

She's waiting, A man said in a sing-song voice.

You need to tell her something. A younger sounding man said.

No; don't tell her anything. A young woman said. She might leave you for good if you tell her. You have her now; why risk losing her?

You can do this, A boy said. It's easy.

I took a deep breath. "Rylie; there's something you need to know." I said cautiously.

You can do this, The boy repeated. It's easy.

"Okay," she said.

"But you have to promise me you won't run off or start ignoring me when I tell you."

"I promise I won't run off or ignore you."

Alright, I thought. Here goes nothing.
