+++++++++++++++++++++++-Lucy's pov-
Natsu and I walk around the park while eating ice cream. "Do you think you're going to be able to catch up? You were asleep for almost a year." I shrug, "I hope so, I don't wanna go to school anymore."
"You can go to rehab. I think that's better." I frown, "That's more work. I can do this." He sighs, "You think rehab is more work than trying to catch up for the year that you missed?" I nod. "Yes, actually. Is there a problem?" He chuckles as he throws away the napkin that held his cone. "Guess I can't change your decision." I smile, "Glad we agree, Dragneel."
I finish up my vanilla ice cream and throw the napkin away. "Do you think you can come eat with me, Wendy, and my parents this weekend?" I shrug. "I guess." We sit down beneath a tree. "Lu--" his phone rings. "What now," he grumbles as he picks it up, "Yeah?" I hear the mumbles of the other person. "Oh, yeah she's here." I sigh, knowing who it is. "Ok, yeah I'll pass her to you."
I get the phone and answer it, "Hello, Mrs. Dragneel."
"Oh, Lucy it's been such a long time, are you feeling better?"
"Yes, thank you for asking."
"Oh, thank goodness. Did Natsu ask if you can eat with us on Saturday?"
"Yes, he did. I'll come."
"Good, hopefully Igneel will open up to you. Even after you being in a coma, he still doesn't really want to get to know you." What? Oh, that's right, it was all just a dream... "Oh, of course."
"Well, we'll talk later I imagine Natsu is getting frustrated with me taking up time from your date. Bye, Lucy!"
"Bye, Mrs. Dragneel." She hangs up and I give Natsu back his phone. "It was just a dream..." I mumble out. "What?" Natsu's now suspicious. "I haven't told you, have I?" He shakes his head no, "No, what happened?" I sigh, "I've already told the girls this, so might as well tell you." I wipe my face with my hands, "Let's hope I don't cry." Natsu's face goes to complete worry. "Why would you cry? Lucy, what happened? What's a dream?"
I shush him. "Let me start. When you came for me I passed out, right?" He nods, "Yeah, after that you didn't wake up." I look at my shoes and continue, "I had a dream... while I was in the coma... Sting... Sting died... My mind tried to make it better by making me a twin... I.. I" my voice is cracking, I'm such a wimp. "I.. got separated from you... I eventually got back together with you, but... It... It was a nightmare." Natsu wipes away the tears that are falling with his thumb. He brings me in his embrace.
"It all felt so real, I couldn't handle it. I wanted to die. It felt like I was a shell. When... When I woke up and saw Sting, you, and everyone, I was so happy. So, so relieved that it was a dream. " Natsu caresses my hair as I bury my face in his chest. I silently cry in his chest. "I'm so happy all of it was a dream." He kisses my forehead. "You're here now. All of that doesn't matter anymore." I nod, "I know, and I'm happy." We stay like that for a while. "Your dad still doesn't like me, right?" Natsu sighs, "He said he doesn't really know. He doesn't hate you, but he's not sure he likes you."
"Natsu."
"Hm?" I cuddle closer to him, "You're warm." Natsu chuckles, "I know." I play with my fingers as I enjoy his warm hug. "You guys are so cute!" Natsu and I quickly go apart from each other, blushing. "You gave me a heart attack, Wendy!" I try to calm down my rapidly beating heart as Wendy giggles, "Sorry, I was walking with Romeo." Romeo waves at both of us. "I heard you two are a thing now!" Wendy blushes, "Yeah." Romeo grabs her hand and smiles making her blush more.
"You guys are the cute ones! Natsu how do you have such a cute sister!" I go and hug Wendy. "She got her looks form me, duh." Wendy laughs as I roll my eyes. "Sure." I go give Romeo a quick hug. "Let's talk, Lucy! We haven't talked in so long!" I nod as we sit down. I can feel Natsu get irritated. "Calm down, Natsu. I'm just going to talk to her for a little. You two can talk." Wendy goes on and on about how her life has been. "It was hard for me too, Lucy. You not being there. You're like a big sister to me." I smile, "Thank you, Wendy. I feel the same."
We hear Romeo and Natsu snicker. "What?" Both quickly stop, "Nothing!" Wendy and I glare at them. "We swear, it wasn't anything!" They say in unison. "No skittles for you, Romeo." Romeo's mouth goes agape, "What?! Why!?" Wendy crosses her arms over her chest "'cause you're not telling my the truth." He grumbles something under his breath. We talk for a little more before I need to go. "You sure yo don't want us to come with you?" I nod as Wendy hugs me, "I'm sure. I'll call you when I get home." Natsu nods. "Bye, guys."
"Bye, Lucy!" They all say in unison. I start my way home. I look down to my shoes as I walk. I love these. I continue walking; looking at the ground. I bump into something or rather, someone. "Sorry," I apologize, looking up. "It's fine," he replies back. "Why're you here, Rouge?" He holds up a flyer that has a cat. "I'm looking for this little guy. It's the last time I let Kagura take care of him," he mumbles the last part. "Oh, he's adorable!" The small cat has a frog suit on. It looks a lot like the one Rouge had on when I saw him at the arcade. "Why is he green?"
"He came like that, I don't know why." I think about the blue cat Natsu has. "What's his name?"
"Frosh." (I'm making Frosh a he. I don't know his gender) "I can help you look for him? If you want." Rouge smiles lightly, "Thanks, Lucy." We go around the park calling out the cat's name. "Lucy?" I stop looking and turn to Rouge, "Yeah?" He sighs, "You still like Natsu, right?" I slowly nod, "Yeah... why?" He scratches the back of his head. "Well, uh, um..." I walk up to him, skeptical. His face goes red, "If I tell you, you promise to not get mad?" I narrow my eyes at him, "Depends..."
"While you were out... I realized something." I hope this is not what I think it is. "I... I like you!" He's blushing as he has his eyes closed. I feels my cheeks turn pink as well. "Uh, Rouge--"
"I know you love Natsu! I'm willing to fight him for you!" My mouth is dry. I can't speak. "Rouge... why?" He shakes his head, "I don't know! It's just... when I first met you I liked you, but I wanted to deny it, I guess..." I back away, "Look, I don't want to ruin the friendship we have, plus I'm with Natsu... I don't want to ruin anything."
"Please, Lucy... Give me one chance." He holds my shoulders. I continue shaking my head, "I can't, I'm sorry, I'm sorry..." He brings me in a hug, "Don't say sorry. If anything I need to say sorry." I stand there, perplexed. He lets go, but grabs my hands. He kisses my hand. "Stop, please.." I plead.
"Let her go!"
