-----------------------------------------Natsu's pov-
I sit outside of the school, everyone is in some type of circle thing. They just finished the courtyard and we already called dibs on the spot next to the big oak tree. "Hey, where'd Lucy and Lisanna go?" I point over to the table a couple feet away from us, "Lis said she wanted to talk to Lucy." Levy looks over at them. She gets closer to try and overhear their conversation. Gajeel grabs her leg and pulls her back to her spot. The small bluenette looks back, her face has anger written all over it. "What do you think you're doing!?"
"Stopping you from sticking your nose where it doesn't belong." Levy balls up her tiny fist and hits Gajeel on his shoulder. I look over at the two; Lucy and Lisanna. I can't make out what they're saying but it doesn't look like they're fighting. I think back to... everything. It's been so long, yet time has past by so fast. Lucy's laughter fills the air. I see both Lisanna and Lucy with smiles on their faces.
"I can't take it! I'm going over." Levy attempts to get out of Gajeel's grip but fails miserably. She whines, hitting his fist and arms. "Gajeeeeeel!! Let me goooo!" Lucy looks over. She looks back at Lisanna, says something, and starts to get up. Both start walking our way. I extend my arms, signaling Lucy to come sit with me. She rolls her eyes before sitting next to me. I grab her waist and drag her closer. In between my legs to be exact. She doesn't do anything; she's already used to it. I bring me lips to her ear, "what'd you guys talk about?"
"I'll tell you later. You wanna come over?" A smile finds its way to my lips.
"Of course."

-Natsu's pov-The fresh April breeze greets me as I walk out of school. Lucy is by my side, her hand intertwined with mine. I bring it up to my lips and kiss it lightly. "Ready for our date?" She looks up at me. Her chocolate brown eyes shine with excitement. Her lips curve into a smile. "Of course. Didn't know us going to my place was a date, though."
"So, what did you and Lisanna talk about?"
"Just you know, stuff. You came up."
"Really?" She nods.
"Mhm. She went in detail, too. But, one thing she said kinda got me on edge." Looking at her, I perk up. But, I don't say anything. "She started saying how different our relationship is. Like she was jealous... but not in the 'oh I'm going to kill you' more like the 'I wish I was you but I won't hurt you' kind of way, you know?" I laugh. She raises on eyebrow at me, "What? I'm serious. She was saying things like, 'I wish my relationship with Natsu was like yours.' I don't know, I found it weird. You think she...." Lucy trails off.
"What?" Even though what we're talking about is quite serious, I can't help but smirk, "Lucy Heartfilia, are you jealous?" Her face turns a flushed red. I laugh which makes her blush even more, "N-no. I just think she was talking about you a little too much... that's all." I snake my arms around her waist and bring her closer. I kiss her cheek, a smile stuck on my face. "Aaaarhg, stop!" She gushes. I keep kissing her cheek. I bring my lips to her ear, "I'll let the whole world know that I love you, Lucy Heartfilia."
Her face gets redder. She looks away, embarrassed. "Natsu..." she sighs. I laugh. She looks down at our feet. She skips a couple of time to match my long strides with her short ones. The rest of the way is quite. Her blonde hair hides her face.
We get to her house and she goes to her room, "I'll be right back, I need to do something." I sit down on the couch and throw my backpack on the table. I wait for Sting to kick me out. But, he never comes. "Lucy?" I shout, but I get no answer. "Lucy, where's Sting...?" Still no answer. I walk over to her door. I bring my ear to her door. Nothing.
I knock. "Lucy?"
"I'm almost done." She yelps in pain. I open the door without thinking. She turns around. Her eyes are wide with surprise. She's shirtless. Her bare back is exposed and she's only in her bra. She grabs her shirt from her bed to cover herself. "What are you doing?" Her voice is only a whisper.
"What are you doing?" I ask her.
"Nothing. Just checking on my back." Her back flashes in my mind. She was bleeding. I turn her around to see one of her scars was bleeding.
"What happened?" I grab the bag full of first aid. I move her to her bed and make her sit down. Lucy doesn't respond. She stays quiet. "What happened?" I ask again. She sighs, "I bumped into the wall while walking out of school. But, it just started bleeding now." I grab some band-aids and put it on her back. "Are you done?" She asks. But, before I can respond, she turns around. She's hiding her back. Her face is a mixture of sadness and embarrassment.
"Why are you hiding?" I sit on the edge of the bed; I rub her forearm. Tears prick at her eyes. "'Cause my back is ugly. Look at it, Natsu. It's disgusting." My face drops.
"Turn around." She looks at me, her lips quiver. "Turn around." She finally does what I say. "Lucy, listen," I bring my hand to her back. Her small back is covered in big scars. Just thinking about what that bastard did to her makes my blood boil, "you are beautiful," I bring my lips to one of her scars, "These scars are beautiful," her breath hitches, "everything about you is beautiful." She looks back, her eyes are glossy with tears. Her bottom lips starts to quiver again. I sit up only to have her throw her arms around me. "Thank you." I hug her back.
"Remember, Lucy, I'll always be with you. I'm here to help you get over your past. These physical scars are nothing. Of course you have mental scars, but, I know you'll get over them, cause you're strong." I rub her bare back. She pulls on my shirt.
"I don't know where I would be without you, Natsu Dragneel." Her words make me smile. She lets go and looks at me. "Same here," I say.
