-Lucy's pov-"What did you wanna talk about?" I stir my straw in my strawberry milkshake as he takes a sip out of his chocolate one. "Just let Yukino come." The rain poors harder and harder as a stumbling Yukino comes in. "Sorry I'm late." She closes her umbrella as she walks over to us. "Why'd you call us so suddenly?" He puts several documents on the table. "Go through them." I get the folder and open it up. "This again?" Yukino looks over my shoulder. "I don't believe it. It's just a hunch."
"A very accurate hunch. Lucy, what do you want? Sting and I have shown you and you still don't believe us." I hand them over to Yukino. "Proof."
"This is proof." I rolls my eyes, "I mean your mom. I want her to come say it to my face. Then I'll believe you. If this is all you wanted, then I'm gonna head on." I give him my half of the money before walking out. Yukino shouts my name as I close the door shut. No way in hell am I believing them. "Lucy!" I turn around at hearing my name. "Why don't you believe us?" I grunt in displeasure, "I told you, I want his mom to tell me straight up in my face then that's when I'll believe you guys." Yukino walks by my side. "Why is it so hard to believe?"
"Because my mom wouldn't lie to me!" I shout back at her, furious. Yukino grabs onto my bag, "How do you think this is effecting Sting? He's going through the same things as you are!" I stop walking. ".... Sorry." I make her let go of my bag before running to the bus stop. I'm drenched. I look through my bag to make sure nothing got wet. The bus arrives and I go in. I give the driver the money and go sit at the back. I get my phone out and put in my ear buds. I turn up all the way, ignore the warning from my phone.
My vision starts to blur up. "Damnit..." I wipe my tears with the inside of my sweater. There's no way my mom did that. How dare they talk about her like that when she's not even alive.
-The next day-
-Lucy's pov-"You look so coot!" I wipe my eye with my sweater sleeve. It's the first outfit I tried on at the mall. "Ok, sure, Levy." Natsu wraps his arms around my waist. "I'm gonna die." I chuckle, "I'm not that cute." He pouts, "Yes you are. I just wanna keep hugging you 'cause your so cute." I blush madly as he kisses my cheek. "Voting you guys the cutest couple." I free myself from his grasp and go up to Lisanna. "I wanna talk." She smiles, "Ok, what do you wanna talk about?"
"What have you been up to? We've never gotten actual time to talk one on one." She sighs, "I've been starting to enroll in cosmetic school."
"You wanna professionally do make up?" Lisanna tucks her hair behind her ear, "Yeah, I wanna open up my own salon. I hope you'll support me." I nod quickly, "Of course!" A smile adorns her face as she wraps me up in a hug. The five-minute-bell rings. Everyone says good bye before leaving to their classes. "See ya in a while." Natsu kisses my cheek. "Bye." I kiss his cheek back. He walks out as I walk to the very back to my seat. Sting slides his shoulder onto my desk; his face resting on the back of his hand. "How come he never stops touching you?"
I shrug, "Dunno."
"I'm gonna have a nice looong talk with him." There's a blaze in his eye. "Oh, ok." I get my backpack ready. Once the bell rings, I get up as the teacher walks in. She nods at me. I smile at her back before walking to the room where Natsu's waiting. Once there, I open the door to a sleeping Natsu. I smile at his cute sleeping face. I quietly put my bag down. I move his bangs out of his face. How cute.... I look at the bags under his eyes. Why hasn't he been getting sleep? His eyes shoot open scaring me. "What were you doing?" He rubs off the sleep from his face. "Nothing." I can feel my face heat up. "Ok. Let's get started."
"Did you get enough sleep?" I ask. He nods, yawning, "Yeah." I hug him from behind. He look back, surprised. "Why haven't you been sleeping?" He sighs, and rubs my arm gently. "It's nothing. Just me thinking about stupid stuff." I go to sit in the chair next to him. I scoot it closer and put my hand over his. "Then it's doesn't matter if you tell me." He brings his hand up to his lips. He kisses it softly. "I'm scared. What if Rogue actually takes you away from me. I just got you back and–"
"–Don't worry. He won't take me away. I like you." I reassure him. "I love you so much, Lucy. You're just too perfect." He kisses me hand again. A light pink tints my cheek. "I have my flaws."
"You don't. You're the most perfect person in the world. I'm so lucky to have someone like you by my side." He brings his hand up to my face. He caresses my face lovingly. I close my eyes enjoying his loving gesture. "Same thing here." He leans in and our lips meet. He puts his other hand on my face, deepening the kiss. A loud knock is heard and we both quickly pull away. Natsu gets up and answers the door. Both of our faces are a dark shade of pink as Erza walks in. "Hello, Lucy, Natsu. Was I interrupting anything?" She raises her eyebrow as we both shake out heads no. "No, what do you need?"
"Mrs. Vermillion wants me to be Lucy's now tutor. I hope that's ok with you both...?" Natsu gapes at the statement, "What?! Why!?" Erza coughs, "Uh, she gave me no reason." Natsu gets his backpack. "Where are you going?"
"I'm gonna go ask her why she doesn't want me to be Lucy's tutor." And with that, he slams the door shut before we can protest. "Did she really not give you a reason?"
"She doesn't want you two in a room alone. With you being a couple and all." Erza sits down on the counter top. "I'm guessing Natsu will take a while so I'll just start.." I get out my textbook. "Was I interrupting you two?" My face turns red.
".... Yes. It was just a peck.." Erza sighs, "Didn't look like a peck." My face goes redder, "So you did see.."
"Ya. What was he telling you?" A shy smile graces my lips. "Rogue has been making him upset. Natsu was being the cheesy dork he always is." Erza chuckles, "Natsu was never like this, you know. He was more quiet about relationships."
"He's been in more relationships?" Erza nods, "Lis was his second. He had this other girlfriend in middle school, but she's not worth mentioning." My curiousness makes me pry. "When did they break up?" Erza laughs, "Jealous?" I pout and cross my arms, "I'm not. I just wanna know." She runs her hand through her scarlet hair, "I think it was the start of high school. She broke up with him. Is there anything else you wanna know, miss jealous?"
"Why did she break up with him? And, I'm not jealous." Erza thinks for a sec. "Uh... I think she... moved? I can't really remember. Natsu was pretty vague on the details.... But, that doesn't matter. I'm glad he found someone like you, Lucy."
"What do you mean?" I asked, confused. "It's the first time I've seen Natsu so... serious about a relationship. He's changed. He used to be so care free and childish. But now with you, it's like he's actually an adult. He's thinking about a future." I smile, "He's done the same to me. Not just him, all of you. I'm really thankful to have met all of you." Erza smiles brightly. "Awww, me too!" She gets up and hugs me. I pat her arm. We stay like that for a while, in peaceful silence.
"Lucy?"
