Cold......hungry.........alone.......

That was all that I had felt. I was orphaned, I never really knew my parents nor even seen their faces, that's how I ended up in an alleyway in O'khasis...

They didn't want me.....

They didn't need me.....

Nobody likes me......

I'm all alone......

Until that fated day...I realized that I was all wrong my whole life....

"Hey there little girl...." That voice....it was so kind. He was the only one that ever talked to or even acknowledged my very existence.....

"Sire, you shouldn't be talking to a street rat like her. It's disgusting and could ruin your image." I guess I was wrong to even feel hope after that....

"Nonsense, I will raise her as my own and that is final!" He has to be kidding........right?

When the guard made no move, the man did instead...

"Hello dear, call me Garte, or better yet.....Father. You have such beautiful hazel eyes......Aphmau.."

Aphmau......that's a really exotic name to call a person, but strangely enough.....I like it.

I looked up to assess my 'Father'. Blonde hair, blue eyes-" Garte! Who is she?! Oh dear, is she injured?"

Turning around, I came face-to-face with a kind looking woman, but you should know to never judge a book by its cover. Pitch black hair and kind emerald eyes, she gazed at me with curiosity.

"Oh darling, you have never had contact with anyone before have you?" With that I slowly shook my head.

"Oh dear, I'm Zianna sweetheart, what's your name?"

"I named her Aphmau...."

"Garte, you can't do that! What if she does have a name?"

"I-I do-don't have a na-name...." Was that my voice? I don't like it....

"Well then, Aphmau. Say hello to us...your new parents...welcome to a new chapter of your life..."

New parents...new life huh....I like it....I like it a lot...
