I made my way towards the study room of the one and only Lord Garte Ro'meave who summoned me in the middle of his son's flipping My Little Horsies themed birthday party. Upon my arrival, I was oh so blessed with the sight of Garte hanging upside down, crying his eyes out while Sky lectured him about proper childcare - while keeping him suspended mid-air.

Well, this was a rare sight to behold.

I made my way to one of the vacant seats and sat quietly, waiting for Sky to finish his lecture because everyone knows to not interrupt his lectures, especially when he is genuinely serious for once. After waiting for almost an hour for him to calm down, it eventually turned to two and before it became three, I got off of my seat to pry Sky off of Garte. Personally, I wouldn't mind if this went on but for the sake of O'khasis, I had to prevent Garte from losing any more brain cells than he already has.

After the whole fiasco and slapping Garte a few times to keep him in his right mind, he managed to announce that Garroth was missing and for real this time. He wasn't going to pop up suddenly in the flower field or next to his favourite cat, Sprinkles. His absence would really tear Zane apart if this goes on any longer. Obviously as the strongest, I was to find Garroth, wherever he may be while Sky was to suppress a rebel movement against O'khasis.

Once Garte's back was turned to explain our missions further, I grabbed Sky by the arm and teleported us to the room where Zane's birthday party was held.

"Hey Jess, sorry I couldn't attend the birthday boy's party. Finding Garroth took longer than expected." Sky apologised, sheepishly.

I sighed, "At least apologise to the birthday boy himself," I said as I opened the door to the golden confetti littered room, only to come face-to-face with silence.

"Zane?" I asked the empty space, "ZANE!" I all but screamed this time, panic laced in my tone.

"Don't worry Jess," Sky reassured, "he must be in the kitchen eating all the cupcakes again."

"Maybe you're right." I finalised, making my way towards the kitchen without a second to spare.

Upon arriving in the kitchen, Zane was still nowhere to be found. This time, Sky panicked, "Oh my Irene! Where is he?!," Sky began to hyperventilate, "ZANE!!"

I'm getting a headache from this, what is it with people going missing?

"It's alright Sky, I think I know where he is." I replied confidently.

"Are you sure?" Sky tested. Sky may be the protector of Garroth but it would be clear as day to anyone that he favours Zane more.

"Positive, I wouldn't be named the Protector of Zane if I didn't you know." I teased Sky as he turned beetroot red.

Give or take a few minutes, the both of us arrived at the front of my bedroom door.

"Are you sure Jess?" Sky asked, clearly confused.

"Positive." I confirmed as I opened the door, only to find Zane in the middle of my room, sleeping soundly on a pile of cupcake wrappers.

Silently, Sky made his way to Zane and replaced his makeshift bed of wrappers into him instead. Once he got comfortable with Zane sleeping soundly on top of him, he gave me a wink before going out like a flame on a candle.

Sighing, I removed my heavy armour, leaving myself in a simple lilac tank top and black booty shorts. I plopped myself in a vacant seat and silently began to flip through my journal when a gentle nudge scared me out of memory lane. I looked down to find Lunar in the form of a Shih Tzu. I mind linked her using our connection as to not disturb our princesses on a pile of cupcake wrappers.

'Lunar'

'Yes Master?'

'Pack up, we'll be leaving at midnight'

Without a reply, Lunar began to bustle about to pack up the necessary items for our journey into two backpacks.

"Aphmau!"

Surprised by the sudden shout, I turned to find Zane running towards me with Sky in tow. I smiled sadly at Zane, this had to be his last moments with me, has it?

We had a blast with his My Little Horsies toys and the Truth or Dare games. We had so much fun that we all were exhausted and passed out in the middle of the room in a pile of limbs. No longer, I woke up to the soft hands of Lunar shaking me awake before heading out of the room.

I silently sighed, I untangled myself from Zane as Sky was nowhere to be found. I was about to leave the room when, "Aphmau?" a sleepy voice asked.

I turned to face a sleepy Zane who looked at me confused, "Where are you going?"

"Zane, I-I have to go on a mission- the same goes with Sky, we might be very busy."

With that, he started to cry, "Don't cry Zane," I cooed, "I promise that we'll come back."

"Promise?" he sniffed.

"Promise," I assured him, "until then, be strong little man."

He giggled and fell asleep again, I'll miss this boy. Now, time to find Sky.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It wasn't hard to find him as the only place that he ever liked in O'khasis was a filled with dandelions and a full view of the night sky.
I took a seat beside him.
"You're leaving huh?" He looked at me with sad eyes, I turned to face him, "I sure am."
He engulfed me in a big hug, "It was fun being with you Jess." he said as he slipped something cool around my neck. I released myself from the hug and looked, it was my memory stone with his as well on a golden chain fitted in perfect diamond frames, beside our stones were five more empty frames.
I looked up at him, confused. He chuckled, "Just so you might find the others."
We gave each other a final hug and he gave me a soft kiss on the forehead as we went our separate ways. As usual, I made my way through the Forbidden Forest to the ocean but this time, instead of heavy armour, it was normal everyday clothes.
I reached the shoreline and took a look around. I was going to miss this place and protecting the Border.
"Master" a soft voice called from behind as I turned to look, Lunar was standing behind me with our backpacks in hand. As usual, I made a boat from my magicks again and we were off with Lunar flying ahead to report any disruptions ahead. I looked at the silent waters as the boat rowed itself - perks of a magic boat- the waters were shining tonight and I looked up and saw the reason why.
Sky made the stars tonight and instead of several clusters in the sky as usual, it was the symbol of the Divine Warriors. I smiled and looked back at the ocean, wherever this takes me next, I hope that it would be an adventure.
