Rowing the oars, deeper and deeper into the ocean, we finally reached our destination. The middle of then ocean.

I know what you're thinking right now, 'Are you crazy?!'

Well, let me tell you right now, the Border is in fact, in the middle of this ocean. To others, the Border looks like a thick or misty fog, nut to the rest, it would look like a majestic gate to the Heavens. I was one of the gifted to be able to see the Border, though, I'm not sure about Lunar.

"Wow," she gasped, "is this Heaven?"

She can see it then.

"No Lunar," I giggled, "it's the Border."

"You keep talking about this Border, but what exactly does it do?" she questioned.

"You see," I started to explain, "the Border is something like a gateway to other worlds. It exists in every world, this Border is the only Border that is dangerously close to civilisation and Shad and I take turns to guard it."

"Where does it lead to?" she questioned again, curiosity, a trait that I have always benefited from.

"Not 'where' Lunar, 'when'"

"Huh?"

"This particular Border leads to the future, or as they call it, the modern time."

"Oh!" she suddenly exclaimed as if suddenly remembering something," my Father had lots of books on time as well, like how cellphones existed."

Wait...nobody has ever passed this Border...ever...so how did her Father know about this?

"Lunar, what is your Father." I questioned, afraid of the answer as if it were a disease.

"Father had told me this before and he told me not to tell anybody else."

She was a loyal girl.

"Please Lunar, I need to know." I pestered further.

"Promise you wouldn't hunt him down?" she asked, eyes watery.

I engulfed her in a big hug, it must be a bad answer since she's crying.

"I won't." I promised as she took a shaky breath.

"H-He told me that h-he was a time warper." She sobbed out as if it were choking her.

After her saying that, I wasn't really scared of her answer anymore. I was surpassed actually, Time Warpers were actually almost extinct now. They were much more special than Dimension Jumpers even though they hold the same importance in value.

After my train of thoughts, a sob broke through. That was when I realised that I was quiet for too long.

"Lunar-" I started, but as soon as I started, I was interrupted.

"Don't say it!" she shouted as her voice echoed through the empty night sky, "I know you want to kill him, just like his friends were killed." she finished in a whisper.

"No Lunar, when you had stated it like that, I was horrified at what the answer would be when you had such a hard time choking it out, but since the name causes no harm, it's alright. I won't kill him."

"Thank you" she sobbed out as she engulfed me in a big hug.

Being only a five year old, she was a smart one. I looked up at the dark empty sky as I comforted her and was reminded of something instantly.

"Oh shoot." I stated as I hurriedly rubbed my hands together to get them warm.

"What's wrong Aphmau?" Lunar asked but all she got in return was the silence.

I continued rubbing my hands again before speaking, "Lunar, take the form of a bird and come to me when I call you. Make sure nobody passes the Border."

"Alright Master." she said quickly before taking form of a Falcon since she had gotten the permission to.

Good choice. I was right about making her my Helper.

She took of, flying overhead the boat whilst making sure to not touch the Border so that she doesn't get warped away while I continued rubbing my hands together vigorously.

Once I felt that my hans were warm enough, I went through the mind link to call for Lunar. Once she landed, I called forth an energy ball in my hands as Lunar look at it in awe .

The ball in my hand was untame, it fizzed around in my hands as the area surrounding the boat lit up like the Fourth of July, then, just like how the olden times collect water, I raised my hands in the air and the fizzing ball of energy floated into the air, lingering for a moment before exploding into sparks which lit up the whole sky.

Don't worry about it, only the Divine can see it......wherever they are.

The burst of light slowly faded away before the once empty sky dotted with the brightest stars that you would ever see.

"Wow..." Lunar breathed out, enthralled by the sight.

...

If this was what it was like to be Lady Irene's Helper, count me in.
