5 years later......

It has been five years since that day. I had completely destroyed that infamous Janus the Silver Death and earned a name for myself, Jessica the Light of Death.

Ahhhh, nice sadistic memories...

Flashback...

We had just arrived at his house- more like castle- and were exiting the carriage that brought us here.

Not long after did I hear what I did want to hear,

"My Lord, Janus has returned."

"Perfect," I replied before Garte- I mean- My Lord could.

"Aphmau, are you sure about this? Nobody, and I mean nobody, has ever defeated him before. What about reconsidering?"

Did he just try to sweet talk me out of this? Ooooohhhh he'll get it from me later. I swear to myself.

"I'm dead serious about this, My Lord." I said in a monotone voice, expecting him to argue, it wasn't that big of a surprise when he simply complied to my wishes just like that. Huh, that was easy.

"Mommy, Daddy!" I heard a voice shout.

Turning around, I saw a little boy that looked exactly like a photogenic copy of Garte. He came over to me and I looked down, letting my hair fall in my face like a waterfall.

Who exactly was the one that invented 'letting my hair fall into my face like curtains' anyways? It sounds retarded.

"Who are you?" the kid asks.

Well, curiosity killed the cat kiddo.

But it got satisfaction in return.

"I am your Father's new guard, My Lord." I replied in a monotone voice, not looking up.

"She's scary Daddy." He whispered oh so silently. Note the sarcasm.

"I am just like that, now if you excuse me, I have a fight to get to."

"Um, sure, let me take you there, Brandon, call for him."

I heard a subtle 'Yes,Sir' before Garte speaks again.

"Let's to the arena then." Garte announced as his family and I , walking subtly from behind.

"I'm Garroth." The amateur introduced himself and I didn't even need to know because simply, I don't care.

"Yeah, I don't really need to know that."

"Oh....."

Yeah, oh indeed.

"Well, its time for Gar Gar's nappy time now, so you both have fun now." Zianna announced as she walked away from us and into another room with Garroth.

"You can back out now you know, I don't want my only daughter hurt in that fight."

I sighed, "I can defend my own self, My Lord"

"But, you are my daughter and you deserve the finest of clothes and jewellery - My Lord" I interjected in the middle of his rant, "this is what I want and you cannot change it."

He sighed. Clearly in defeat.

"At least call me Garte." He pleaded with such sad eyes that resembled a puppy's. I couldn't say no to that.

"Alright.........Garte."

With that simple word, he smiled a very large smile that I thought that his face would split in half.

A few moments later, we reached a room filled with weapons of every kind.

"Choose one." I simply turned around and smirked at him.

"I don't need one." I stated with a tone of finality.

"Are you sure Aphmau? He is quite the berserker." He asked nervously, his tone laced with worry.

"I'm sure Garte, now, watch me win this thing!"

Walking into the arena I glanced around at my surroundings.

Being only a nine year old, I would look out of place in this type of place, but rest assured, I can take down a whole region if I wanted to.

"Oh, so this was the who little girl wants to fight with me eh?" A deep voice resounded throughout the arena.

I turned around to come in face-to-face with a pair of glowing blue eyes hidden beneath a hood.

Smirking as I turned around, something unexpected happened.
