[Hayley]

It's sometime later than 1 in the morning, and here I am. Laying in bed, fighting back a squeal of excitement. How could I say no to the question he had asked?

"I wish that I could be with you right now," I say with a small frown. He hums an 'mhm' but it doesn't sound as sincere as I'd really like.

"I mean...you could always come here for a few days. It'll be like, a small vacation for you. I'm not saying that you have to, because it's a far trip. I don't know, I'm rambling," he speaks. Towards the end of it, he sounds so shy, so cute.

"I'd love that," I reply within seconds, earning a surprised "really?" from him. I nod, totally forgetting that he can't exactly see that.

"Really," I confirm. It's not like I have anything going on, here, anyway. Just the same, regular routine that consists of talking to Lynn, hanging out with her, eating, sleeping. It's a little boring and I wouldn't be against a change, even if that change were to only last a few days.

"I mean, if you really want to, I could always look for a flight..." he trails off, continuing to seem adorably shy. I don't think I've ever really witnessed him acting like this. He carries himself to seem as if he somehow could stop himself from ever being shy. But he's human, after all. Still probably closer to perfect than anyone else.

"You really don't have to, you know. I've only ever been out of the country once before, I'd have to check to be sure my passport is still good. And you don't have to do anything for me, anyway. I don't want you wasting your money on me." As much as, yes, I would love to go and be with him for even just a week, I don't want him to be spending the money that he's earned on me.

"Wasting my money? Hayley, no. I've got plenty of money thanks to saving up when I was back at home. And preparing for the pre-season begins soon, so I'll start getting paid. They won't be as high as my regular salaries that I'll be earning once the season actually starts, but it's good money. But enough about me. Look, it's late for you. You should get some sleep. I can look for flights, but just know that if you don't want to come you don't have to. Get some sleep, beautiful," he says softly, causing me to feel as though I'm fully prepared to melt.

"Good ni-- morning. Good morning, for you. Right? It must be early in the morning over there. I should sleep. I need to, I haven't gotten much so far tonight," I speak, my tired eyes growing more so by the minute. This is a sure sign that it's time for me to close my eyes for the night.

So I do so, and I doubt I've ever slept so soundly.

Being Taylor's official girlfriend ends up being amazing. I learn that nearly immediately, waking up to several good morning messages. Even though it's much later in the day where he's located, he still takes time out of his day to speak with me.

He continues to say that I should come over and visit him for a week or two if I want. But I continue to tell him no, that he does not have to spend his hard-earned money on me. But he continues saying that he doesn't mind, and that he wants me to come. I eventually end up giving in to his wish, agreeing to visit him. I first check my passport to see that it has not yet expired. Well that's good. But now to just speak to my mother about it. Even though I like to think of myself as independent and able to make decisions for myself, I don't want to disappear for a week or two without her being aware.

"Hey, uh, mom. Can I talk to you?" I ask nervously, hands in the pockets of my baggy Mickey Mouse sweatshirt that my dad had gotten for me the one time he and his family had visited Disney World. Years later, I'm still rather bitter about not being taken on that trip. Anyway.

She turns to face me. Her short, blonde hair being an immediately noticed feature. That's one thing I've always loved about her. Her hair. Maybe that's because I'm sort of destroying my hair with hair dye and bleach, but I still have always loved her hair.

"What's wrong, Hayles?" she asks, a smile that had originally occupied her beautiful features fading into a concerned-looking frown.

"Alright, well. I have a friend. And they live in England. And they want me to come over there. And I want to, really want to. But do you think it'd be okay if I were to go?" Make sure to keep pronouns out of the conversation, unless she asks. It's my life, though. If she says no, then too bad.

"It's a boy, isn't it?" she asks with a sarcastic roll of her eyes. I blush scarlet, shaking my head a bit. But the grin that makes its way onto my lips totally gives me away.

"Okay, yes. It is. But please. Even if you say no, I'll still probably go," I warn her. She probably knew that I meant a male friend since I made an obvious attempt at keeping pronoun usage out of my sentences.

"So I guess it's not up to me," she laughs. "Okay, yes you can go. You're twenty-two, you can go. But make sure you let me know all of the details when it comes to flight information. I can drive you to the airport and home when you land back here. Just let me know, okay?"

I was actually prepared to put up more of a fight. But I didn't have to face any of that. Whatever, I'm not complaining.

I get to see my boyfriend. Wow. That feels weird to say.
