[Hayley]

My first day in this new, foreign country is spent walking around and being as touristy as humanly possible. I think the highlight of my day so far has been when we got lunch, though. I was so hungry, I hadn't eaten since some time on the flight.

I had done my very best to not totally pig out when our food arrived, but I instantly devoured it. I couldn't help myself.

It's 7 PM now, and him and I are running, my hand in his as he drags me down the sidewalk. A downpour had begun not long ago, and neither of us had expected it. So we're currently bolting back to his place.

"Hurry!" he exclaims with soft laughter. It's not my fault that I have short legs. It's difficult for me to keep up with him. That fucking daddy-long-leg. Okay, his legs aren't that long. But he's fuckin' tall.

As exhausted as I am, I like this. Moments like these. Small moments that seem insignificant at the time they happen, but one day will mean so much more.

Both of us out of breath, we reach the front entrance of his apartment building. Standing in front, though, the rain continues to hit our bodies. I'm cold and can't wait to get inside, shower and change into pajamas. But he seems to have other plans.

He's facing me, his face inches from my own. I bring my free hand up to rub my sleepy eyes. He takes that hand into his own, bringing it down. Both his hands release the hold they have on my own hands.

He inches closer to me, hands rising. He cups both of my cheeks, leans down a bit - considering my height - and presses his lips against my own.

In the few seconds of the kiss, I admire every second of it. This is like, the most cliché first kiss. Talk about imitating every cheesy romance movie ever.

Still, though, I adore every second. I nearly forget about the rain, but not completely.

The rain definitely does not make this any more romantic. I've been lied to by shitty television and cheesy romance movies.

After a few seconds, his lips part from my own. He's breathing heavier than he was pre-kiss. So am I. But I think I want more.

Once we kissed, we rushed inside the apartment building and up to his apartment. Even after he turns the heating to his apartment on, I'm still a soaked and shivering mess.

"It's colder than usual tonight," he states, rubbing his hands together for warmth. The rain can't be helping the cold temperature at all.

"Do you wanna take a shower?" He asks, hands at his sides. Of course, me being me, the first thought that crossed my mind was that he was asking to take a shower with me. After a second of actually thinking logically, I give him a nod. He leads me into the bathroom connected to his bedroom, gives me a few towels to use, and shows me how to use his shower.

I hurry in the shower, not taking too long. I typically use some expensive hair products that are good with hair dye, but I'm not about to go and tell him I can't use what he's got. Or just not wash my hair. That would be worse than my original hair color being exposed.

I watch some of the orange dye wash away with the water, the colorful liquid going down the drain. Maybe I could dye my hair while here. I don't know, though. I'm sure my hair will be okay, for now. It's after a few more days where I'll end up needing to work on it.

After not too long, I exit the shower, wrap a towel around my body, place one on my wet head of hair, and walk into his bedroom. The door that leads the room into the living room is closed, but I walk over and lock it anyway.

When I remove the towel that's atop my head, I see a bit of the orange dye has bled onto the fluffy, white material. Well, not my fault....maybe it is, but who cares. Going through my bag, I pull out my undergarments, a grey t-shirt, along with a pair of black sweatpants. Once I've changed, my hair brushed, I return to the living room to find Taylor sitting on the couch. He's listening to music, I don't know the song. But he's tapping his knees as if they're drums.

"Hi," I speak softly, causing his head to quickly turn so that he can look at me. He pauses the song that he was just so into, and then pushes the phone to the side.

"All done?" He asks, even though the answer seems rather obvious. But whatever, I'm not going to give him sass, so I still nod.

"Okay, well, I'm gonna go take a quick shower. You can watch TV, if you want, or whatever you wanna do." It's weird how him being so terribly awkward adds to his cuteness. Maybe because he never seemed so awkward, back when we were in school.

"What was the music you were just listening to?" I ask, looking up at him as I take a seat on his couch.

"Oh, uh, they're that band I told you about. MewithoutYou. I don't know if you did listen to them, but I think you should. I'll be back in fifteen or so minutes." I think I could listen to him talk about things he's interested all day.

I watch him turn around, walk into the bedroom, the door closing behind him. Sighing, I just sit and think about him. Fuck, he's cute.
