*Zach's POV*
Her hair was tied up on the top of her head and just fell in every single direction. It fell onto her forehead, which seemed to frustrate her because she kept having the push it back into place. But the thing was, none of it had a place... It was not a messy bun, nor was it a proper hairstyle, it was just a load of hair on the top looking like a mess and as weird as it looked after staring for so long, it looked good on her. It was a good mess.
She stood with a friend outside the arena with her hands put together placed in front of her mouth, as if she was trying to warm them up by blowing warm air into them. Her sleeves almost covered her hand up to her knuckles but she kept tugging at them. Her neck was covered in a thick scarf and she was wearing a jacket, which didn't look like it was near enough warmth for her, but she didn't seem to care. She had one earphone in and she was tapping her fingers against her leg as if it was a piano.
Tonight's show was bang in the middle of our tour so we were all pumped being just as close to finishing as we started. Don't get me wrong, touring is fucking incredible! I mean, it's a dream and all, but it's hard to be away from everyone and everything normal for such a long time. We all miss a lot from home but we're pretending like this experience is our last so we have to make the most of it. We get to look around, play our music and drink with fans and it's such a dope feeling.
"Hey, are you going to come down? We just wanted to go over some things since the stage is different here so we had to move some shit around..." Brandon said from the other side of the room.
I nodded once and then switched my sight back onto the girl outside with her friend. She was in the exact same position and was watching her friend talk to other girls, who had appeared out of no where. She put her head down with her hand on the back of her head and looked over her shoulder towards the entrance of the arena, but then averted her eyes to the ground.
The arena wasn't the smallest place we'd played it but it defiantly went in the top ten ranking of all our gigs, nevertheless it was still a place to perform.
Jesse sat on the edge of the stage and spoke to some of the arena crew, whilst the others spoke amongst themselves and to the photographers. I walked over to the stage and jumped on, swivelling my legs around me to position myself steadily.
"So, the strobes are just a bit different here, and the stage is slightly smaller and we're all gonna have to stick to the centre, 'cos the speakers are around the edges... It's gonna be a pretty huddled gig but there should be enough room to move and shit." Jesse turned to me and spoke, shrugging on almost every word.
"Okay, that should be okay." I nodded and looked forward; towards the empty area where the fans would be. It was crazy to imagine the packed area would be during our set.
"I was thinking about getting some air and looking around, yanoe, before all the fans find us... It's pretty empty outside so I reckon we could make it without making to big of a deal." Brandon spoke up from the group he was standing in.
All the boys grabbed their jackets and headed out the entrance and I tailed behind them. There were some screams and a few girls ran up to us asking for pictures and signatures. I watched each one and waited for the girl to come over but I couldn't see her. I walked in front of the boys a bit and looked around. The place she was stood in was no where to be seen.
"Hey, you coming?" Mikey shoved me and tilted his head to the guys, who were walking away.
"Yeah..." I said and started walking with him.
We had been walking for around twenty minutes before all of us were moaning about the cold and so we decided to head back. We got some pretty cool pictures of the sights and bought some cool English stuff and didn't really want to hang around for anything else. It was still very early so we hoped it wouldn't be too mad trying to get back into the arena.
There was almost double the fans when we got back, with around twenty or so... We spent a couple minutes greeting them and taking pictures and they were all so pumped for tonight. Most of them were youngish, but some of them were twice the age of the boys and myself. It was awesome to see the fans that did come this early and would probably be camped out here for ten hours or something.
"We should get inside, but thanks guys! See you inside!" Brandon called to everyone and we started making our way back inside.
I was almost at the door when my shoe caught something and I tripped forward, almost falling to the floor.
"Shit, sorr-" A voice spoke from below me.
I looked down to see her. She was sitting on the floor with her legs out and a book in her hands. She quickly put it down and got to her feet.
"Zach!" She shook her head and sucked in shocked breath.
"Hi." I waved her.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to, I didn't even see you coming.. I had earphones in and zoned ou-" Her English accent spoke clearly.
"It's fine, don't worry about it." I said.
Her hair was still the same as before but maybe a little messier, as if she'd been tugging at it. Her eyes were a strange blueish grey and it looked like she'd tried to put on makeup to cover her tired eyes. Her nose was pierced and she had plain lips. It was all so natural and flawless. Her jacket was now buttoned up and her scarf was wrapped around her tighter.
"I like your hair." I said.
"I like yours too." She laughed. "I'm Rainey."
"Zeeko! C'mon!" Jesse called to me and held the door open for the entrance open.
I nodded once and started walking over to him before stopping in my tracks and turning back to the girl.
"Where are you... inside?" I asked.
"Balcony, why?"
I smiled at her and turned my back and headed toward the door.
